In Raiders of the Lost Ark there Nazis running around the Egyptian desert in full uniform with military equipment. Egypt was occupied by the British. Would have been hilarious to see an unarmed Bobby show up and ask for their papers.

I really liked California Split, but I didn't think the part where they went to Reno to play in a big stud game made much sense. Reno is awfully far from LA for them to go for a game; seems like bigger games would have been in Las Vegas, and if they were basically draw poker players from California they probably wouldn't be good at stud.

Not a plot hole but in shallow Hal why isn't Walt handsome? The guy with spinibifida who volunteers at the hospital and is generous with his money and everyone loves? It's not just women whose appearances change, either, since he sees pretty boy Ralph and liiboy (who arent actually handsome).

I guess it's because he already knew Walt before being hypnotized? So only new people he meets change? That has to be it and I just realized while typing this so carry on.

At the beginning of "Sicario" (really good movie), Emily Blunt is an FBI agent on a hostage response team and that's all she's ever done. Yes,115 lb Emily was apparently hired and immediately assigned to be one of the bruisers kicking down doors to rescue hostages.

I know it's just a way to give her background as a badass. Just stood out as improbable and weird.

In TV and movies the last few years women are pretty much equal to men physically. Women are always kicking men's asses, pretty standard.

I laugh every time I see Angelina Jolie playing a bad ass. She might be 115lbs soaking wet. She couldn't fight her way out of a wet paper bag.

I liked what they did with her in Edge of Tomorrow. There it was actually believable that she could be a badass, cause she got to do war Groundhog Day style.

Also because they had giant powered suits to carry all their gear, so physical strength was irrelevant.

Edge of Tomorrow

Now that we mention it, this movie has a couple holes.

1. The instant Tom Cruise dies with the alpha power, time resets. The same is apparently not true of the alpha. The first time around, the alpha gets blown up, and yet there is time for the alpha blood to mix with Tom Cruise so that he can absorb the power. Looks like there's a bit of a delay for the alpha, but not for Cruise.

2. That begs the question, why the hell would the aliens send an alpha to the front lines of battle knowing that there's a chance that some alpha blood can get on a human and cause them to get the power? They've had it happen once before, with Emily Blunt, and know full well about it, by trying to trick Tom Cruise to thinking the Omega is somewhere where it is not, so why would they risk that?

3. A blood transfusion nullifies the power? How does Blunt know this? Wouldn't she have to die, and not get reset, to know that she no longer has the gift? Also, that seems a bit contrived, as getting a pint of someone else's blood wouldn't eliminate the alpha blood that you already have inside you.

That being said, solid movie

I saw this movie in the theater. When I saw the supposedly-brilliant hacker reaching for the cable I yelled DON'T HOOK IT UP TO YOUR ***NETWORK*** YOU MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course I got all the shhhhhhh and said, "WHAT???? He's supposed to..." and then I just shut up. That absolutely pissed me off.

When I saw the ring there's that scene where the blond lady tells her male friend "it's about our son" (which was super obvious to everyone) some black lady yelled out "I knew it!!" And a bunch of people just laughed, like no s***, bitch.

Many won't think this is a great movie but I personally do... Bad News Bears(original) championship game Bears down 4 2 outs last inning...People start leaving the game like it's MLB!! Who is at 12 year old baseball games? Usually only parents and family, they are just gonna walk out on their kids game?

Original Bad News Bears is absolutely a great movie. And the conceit was that everyone associated with the league watched the championship game, not just the parents from the two teams, and they only started leaving with Bears down four, two outs, nobody on base. With Rudy Stein up.

So not even close to a hole imo. Fans have left World Series games when their team had more win equity.

Btw how good is Vic Morrow in that movie?

Walter Matthau was convincing as the beer-guzzling, poolman coach in those movies. lol

Kelly Leak 9.7 WAR season that year.

I think the actual plot hole was that matthau was court-ordered to manage a little league baseball team.

Yea, maybe it was other people associated with the league...I've been to hundred of LL games and even championships it's pretty much all parents and family watching, never thought other people might be there that's why people leaving early seemed ridiculous.

Also Ogilvie was up not Rudy.

Morrow was great.."You better pitch better than you're hittin!!! Ill take you right outta the ballgame!!"

He's one of those guys that most people won't know his name but they know the face.

He's been in a lot of good movies/TV shows.

One of my favs is Breaking Away. Check it out if you haven't seen it before.

Watched last night, not a great movie but I liked it. Die hard 2. The colonel and his men, the Castro look a like dictator and the US soldiers that joined them are on their escape plane rollin down the runway. They are all celebrating, popping champagne like they are home free! What makes them think the air force wouldn't blow that plane out of the sky?

I haven't seen it in years, but the plot hole that always bothered me about that movie was why, after the tower at Dulles was taken over, couldn't the planes just land at BWI or National instead of worrying about running out of fuel while flying in a circular holding pattern waiting for the good guys to regain control?
