I've read the complete collection of calvin and hobbes more times than I can possibly count and I continue to read and love them to this day.

I adored them as a child and at no point during my life did I go thru a phase where I didn't actively read C&H.

no matter how many times I moved I never lost those books and while I did sometimes buy nicer sets I still have the original books I was given as a young child and they are seriously worn out.

I am more concerned with the prospect of economic depression than with the virus itself. Economics befuddles me, too many variables, so I would Prof Keynes to explain it to me, as far as is possible from First Principles, so that I can think about it for myself. A half-hour tutorial on alternating weekday afternoons, I would think.

I do like your Samuel Pepys pick. He also witnesses the great London fire of 1666 so he would have lots of excellent stories from that conflagration.

I have lived nearby Battersea Park for over ten years, and have walked around it many times, but it is only since walking around it every day during the quarantine that I have begun to establish a relationship with it. It is an intricate park, with many interesting gardens and artefacts, separated by old-time park railings and benches, and it is especially lovely on early spring evenings. It started life as an arboretum, I think, and it has many unusual and exotic trees, which on a second glance look like they could have been transplanted anywhere from the Everglades to a Grimm Brothers fairy tale. As I enjoyed her garden on Holy Island so much on holiday last year, I would like Miss Jekyll to accompany me on my walks, and educate me about horticulture.
