Chicago is very good and a lot of fun; the movie adaptation was OK but the live show is better. Haven't seen Wicked but the music is quite good.
A Little Night Music is playing right now starring Bernadette Peters, who is incredible. I don't particularly like "Send in the Clowns" but Peter's performance is one for the archives. The show is really very good; you can see Chicago or Wicked anytime but this one (at least with Peters) is scheduled to end in (IIRC) January.
If you are open to non-musicals, consider La Bete - supposed to be absolutely hilarious, my wife and daughter thought is was outstanding. Top notch cast, including David Hyde Pierce, but the real star is Mark Rylance whose performance is supposed to be remarkable.
Right now, though, I would absolutely choose to see Driving Miss Daisy. This is truly a once in a lifetime chance to see two legends - Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones - and really should not be missed. It only runs through January, so don't pass it up.
