Impressive. You probably needed all of the others to wipe the memory of that one Duran Duran show out of your consciousness.

Thats a lot of concerts! Personally I try to avoid crowds and live events of any kind with a passion. I turn down free sporting event tickets all the time. Even refused to go to the World Series when offered free killer seats.

That said I have only been to one music concert and a few comedy concerts.

My one and only music concert was circa 1970 seeing the Temptations with opening act Gladys Knight and the Pips. It was sort of a surreal experience and we were about the only white people there.

Just trying to pick a fav makes me start remembering awesome memories and then its not even necessarily aabout their performance. Right now though the ratm concert and 311, pharcyde, and cypress hill concert are standing out. We partied with cypress hill and 311 in our hotel all night after the show. Santana rocked the **** too.

Well, sure they were. But you have a soft spot for female artists.

That was the thing about the 'mats. You were either going to get the greatest show you ever saw, or one big turd. Saw them on their own, in a club, in ATL, and it was great. Saw them open for Tom Petty a few years later, and, boy, they sucked. It was toward the end, though.

They haven't worn well, I don't think. I loved them, but just can't get all excited about them anymore.

The only band I haven't seen that I really want to is the Who, and I refuse to see them without Moon and Entwistle. Just seems wrong.

Edit: Rock band, I'm talking. I would have killed to have seen Trane or Dolphy or Mingus.

I love the Replacements and hate to hear about them giving bad concerts. That's a shame. I'm glad I only know the Replacements from their incredible albums.

I will always believe the best of a band is there in their albums.
