I’m pretty sure if you took a randomized list of bond movies and DB’s list the average bond fan wouldn’t be able to distinguish between the two.
OK that’s too harsh. It’s not terrible but definitely some head scratchers. Then again this is coming from someone who wouldn’t even put goldfinger in his top half so maybe I should keep my mouth shut.

Get's a whole point for the line "Good to see you Mr. Bond. Things’ve been awfully dull ’round here. I hope we’re going to see some gratuitous sex and violence in this one."
A rather fine swan-song for Craig as Bond, and interestingly, when you reflect on the 5 movies, they do make a character arc we've never seen in the Bond movies. Craig really delivers in this one, finely acted and nuanced, and some nice, subtle callbacks to some earlier Bonds too. And I went in concerned about the running time, given Spectre was padded somewhat... but my concerns were unfounded, it fills its time pretty perfectly.
I won't write any spoilers, but there is a very deep cut built into the script I just have to mention, that in no way spoils the movie. Originally it was rumoured this movie was to be named 'Shatterhand', which is an alias for Blofeld in the book 'You Only Live Twice'... and in the book, he has a garden full of dangerous and weird plants (which concerns the Japanese government, which is why they request help from Bond as a favour...), and that garden (or a smaller variation of it) makes an appearance in this movie. I'm a Bond nerd, shoot me.

Don’t think I’ve ever posted in this thread, regardless…..
My dad took me to see Goldfinger which was probably one of the first ten times I’d ever been inside a movie theatre. Half the kids I knew had a Matchbox (or whichever toy co it was) of the Aston-Martin and James Bond was basically god.
The transition from the end of the opening prelude ‘shocking…..positively shocking’ to the squealing horns and Shirley Bassey still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, maybe the greatest moment in the Bond films IMO, but you had to be there.
The audience that night positively levitated at that moment. Not because of action or daring-do but because everyone was talking about Goldfinger, no one could wait to see it. The first two films were so successful and the buildup was crazy…..what was coming next?
And with just a small taste of seagull decoy, scuba suit, grappling hook, secret hideout, plastic explosives, dinner jacket, Rolex Submariner, exploding heroin, a naked double-crossing piece of ass and an electric heater in a bathtub I was in ecstasy and we were only 5 min in and the freaking opening credits had just started. And hell no I didn’t understand half of the nuance and none of the double entendre, I was a little kid, but I loved it.

I grew up idolizing James Bond, and he is the most influential fictional character on my life. I was really looking forward to this one as Craig is right up there with Connery for me.
No Time To Die is my favorite Craig Bond. Thought the locales were as good as any Bond. Could have done without the whole new 007 storyline but what would a modern Hollywood movie be without a setup for a sequel. Will need a rewatch, but it’s right up there with my favorites.
I did cry, though. I hated the ending. I never thought I’d say that about a Bond movie.
