Not only does it sound as good as ever, it may even sound better. Everything from "Los Angeles" through "See How We Are" is great but "Wild Gift" approaches perfection.

John Doe may be the most underappreciated singer of the modern era.

I love those guys. I listened to Wild Gift the most, back in the day. They were fun in concert too, tons of personality, thought Exene tended to get way too drunk.

Some of the most memorable concerts that I have seen were X, The Knitters with Dave Alvin and John Doe solo.

At a John Doe show about 20 years ago in a bar in Baltimore I met John Waters who I didn't realize was a friend of John Doe. After the show he introduced me to John Doe, who couldn't have been nicer.

Stevie is tricky because he's a great artist who has put out a lot of garbage. I like his earlier stuff a lot though.

heard this song for the first time tonight, and i fell in love immediately. somehow it manages to be jaunty and ebullient yet melancholy at the same time; it's marvelous.

Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon. It leaked a couple days ago. It's not like radio hip hop at all. There's two songs he collaborated with Ratatat. It's really good.
