Do you worry about how much the algorithms directing content towards you know about you?
I was listening to Swell Maps “Collision with a Frogman “ and YouTube recommended this for me. It is perfect

Our own Rick Nebilio posted this on Facebook, and now I've discovered a new band I had no idea existed!

................................

Strange brew -- kill what's inside of you.
She's a witch of trouble in electric blue,
In her own mad mind she's in love with you.
With you.
Now what you gonna do?

Strange brew -- kill what's inside of you.
She's some kind of demon messing in the glue.
If you don't watch out it'll stick to you.
To you.
What kind of fool are you?

Strange brew -- kill what's inside of you.
On a boat in the middle of a raging sea,
She would make a scene for it all to be
Ignored.
And wouldn't you be bored?

Strange brew -- kill what's inside of you.
Strange brew, strange brew, strange brew, strange brew.
Strange brew -- kill what's inside of you

40 years ago today, Ian Curtis took his own life.

I found New Order before I had heard of Joy Division, but in the late 80s, I got heavily into JD. Just remarkable music.

If you've never seen the movie "Control" by Anton Corbijn, you're in for a treat.

this is a remarkable side-by-side comparison between JD's actual performance and the same scene in the movie:

great article about Ian Curtis 40 years later....

Joy Division on the death of Ian Curtis: ‘Listening to Closer, you think, f***ing hell, how did I miss this?’

Huge fan of both bands but have not watched Control yet. Need to.

Yes Morrissey is a **** of the highest order, but this describes the oppression we felt growing up in the North west of England in the 1970s as a working class person like nothing else

More evidence for my theory that the Sex Pistols planned to destroy Rock n Roll by being the best Rock n roll band ever

I already enjoyed Skynyrd, but funnily enough I was introduced to this song in particular in rehab. It was in South Africa and we had a karaoke night once a week.

The problem was, we only had one CD, with only songs about addiction on, so got a bit repetitive after a few weeks. Still great fun being a middle-class English white boy belting out The Stones, Chilli Peppers, Skynyrd, etc. along with a bunch of South African meth heads, most of whom were criminals.

When I was a student I had to Listen to Freebird several times a night due to the musical tastes of the stoners who frequented the pub. Hence my pathological dislike of the denim clad ****wits

Some people may say that I could have avoided this situation by not going to the pub, that way madness lies
