Spent several viewings wondering why the teacher looked so familiar before I realized it was a young(ish) Magnus Härenstam (which I realize won't mean anything to non-scandinavians, but he's been in a ton of stuff here since).

I read a long article about the band before that show. I hadn't known a ton of their backstory. Hearing that Gano was a huge Jesus freak just completely shocked me.

Yeah, I read some passing references to Gano's spirituality back when Hallowed Ground was released. I had thought that it had been instrumental in some of the band's breakups, but apparently that's wrong. Certainly an interesting group with interesting music.
