Many years ago I rented an apartment in Nice for a holiday - it turned out to be a beautiful apartment with a great view over Nice and the sea. The flat had a pretty decent stereo and the owner had left a few cds.

One of the cds was The Verve 'Urban Hymns' - I'd obviously heard Bittersweet symphony and The Drugs Don't work and liked them so I put it on and found Sonnet.

I played that song on repeat whenever I was in the apartment from then on (there were a few breaks when the people I shared the apartment with went "Really? Srsly? Again!??", but luckily I could take them all in a fight so the breaks never lasted long), so it is a song that always reminds me of the blue Mediterranean sea and sky and a slow breeze rolling in whenever I hear it.

40 years ago this week, one of the truly great rock & roll albums ever made was released:

walk all over you is probably the best song off that album.
