OK, I've decided to get a little obstinate here. I understand not allowing music clips that were produced to promote movies. But what if the movies were produced just to promote the music? What if those movies were produced by Prince? What if you had a brother in law who thought Prince was God? What if he made you sit through Prince movies and you spent the entire time wishing that something interesting would happen?
And then?
And then along came the answers to your prayers. Along came Morris Day and the Time.
A few notes:
1. Not only is the following a music video, it is the pinnacle of 20th Century American artistic achievement.
2. It beautifully illustrates the maxim I have been harping on lo these many years -- The chicks dig a snappy dresser.
3. It too beautifully illustrates another maxim -- The chicks dig a smooth dancer.

Jerome, bring me my mirror.
So far:
1. Twilight Zone
2. Zatoichi
3. Jungle Love
Nope, sorry. this is a movie promo. It is not a music video. Love the song, and if you find another video out there that of it that does not promote the movie, I'll allow it!
Pantera from CFH on to VDP is the best live band to ever destroy a stage. I saw them 9 times before FBD even came out (never after that) and every show was like this. The band was flawless and Phil was as ferocious as was possible. Before he lost his mind, he was such an elite frontman.
An actual MTV style music video! I knew I had one in me
I really like this one. Absolutely love the song and it has an interesting enough video story to go along with it. This one even includes and iconic legendary co-star. But for me its mostly about the music. A great song can save a crappy video but a great video can't save a crappy song.
Anyhow this one ones tries to show Georges BBBBBBBBadness while also throwing off a Hustler/Cincinnati Kid kind of vibe. I think this video fits the song well.
so far:
Paperback Writer - The Beatles
The Making of Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys
Singin' in the Rain - Gene Kelly
Bad to the Bone - George Thorogood
Here's a mega star, Kyari Pamyu Pamyu. This is the least weird video I could find that has the TEMPURA KIDZ as backup dancers. I am somewhat ambivalent/mystified about Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, but I really love the TEMPURA KIDZ -- they must have been tweens when this was made.
Special Bonus Track with only TEMPURA KIDZ for those of you who made it through the above.

Not sure how much I like that video? But the song has some of the strongest lyrics ever
Lol I have no idea what Tempura Kids are, but I love it!
I also was quite mesmerized by the Panthers video...only concert I’ve been to that was similar was in the pit for an AC/DC show in Australia, circa 1988.
My round 4 pick is Unforgiven. I am not a metal fan, and almost never listen to Metallica. But this video had a very strong impact on me from the first time I saw it. Imagery is so haunting and beautiful, and captures the song's dark mood perfectly. It was directed by Matt Mahurin, who is an amazing artist and illustrator, and who directed several other great videos.
Round 5 pick is the Red Hot Chili Peppers Otherside. Dazzling visually and probably my favorite RHCP song. The way they work the band members into the surreal dream landscape is genius. Directed by the same team who directed my first pick (1979). They also directed the movie Little Miss Sunshine.
