There are very very few 4br places.

That post is missing www.bytargentina.com which has the largest selection of apartments but even still, almost everything is 1-2br.

Even if you are searching for stuff at the last minute you would still have a lot of options available for two 2br apartments within a couple blocks of each other. From the apartment page at ByT there's a "See nearby available properties" link that sorts everything for you to make it easy once you find one that you like.

edit: would probably be more accurate to replace "a couple blocks" with "several blocks/a reasonable distance"

Cool we are definitely considering this, we really can't find anything reasonable.

How do we do this? Are the houses not listed on any of the sites? It's only for 2 months so it has to be furnished.

It is unclear whether or not you are a) soliciting apartment booking concierge services or b) oblivious enough to be surprised that you can't find a 2 month lease a week before the trip. It shouldn't come as a shock that at this point most of the nicest and well located apartments are at least partially booked during October and November. Your options are very straightforward: try harder and contact more agencies or suck it up and book multiple apartments.

We have a friend in BA helping us out a ton but mostly it is B. We have been looking for the past few months but were reluctant to book anything until everyone was confirmed and had bought their tickets. Also there were a ton of places listed as available online so we weren't that worried, but it turns out every RA website was out of date.

We were definitely dumb about it but the illusion that there were this many places available also led us to wait longer than we should. Right now we are contacting a bunch of places and if that falls through we are going to book multiple.

The first is in Recoleta. It's 2 blocks from Recoleta Village which has some bars, etc.

Second is apparently in Belgrano but right next to Las Cañitas which is part of Palermo which is pretty upscale and trendy.

The third is in Centro so it's less convenient, but it's 1 block from a group of bars. The only one of them that I've been to, an English pub, seemed pretty nice (had a live band playing).

I don't remember if you specified a price range so I picked the cheapest ones.

Thanks to soah and all others who gave advice/input/PMs...etc, i appreciate the help. I'm down in BA now at a hostel in Palermo soho. We ended up renting a 4br place near the jardin botanico and I checked out the neighborhood today and was pretty happy with it. I move in tuesday and my roommates all arrive on Wednesday.

I am leaving Argentina in the beginning of November after 3 years here, and have a lot of electronics and furniture for sale: 14'' TV, TV table, Linksys router, desk, ventilators etc. I also want to get rid of Harrington on Online Cash Games that Ive already read.

Check out this link on Craigslist if you are interested:

Aight. This Tuesday, Kansas 7:00 PM. 2p2 Meet Up.

(Why so early? Kansas gets ridic busy starting at 9:00, like 45 minute waits. They have huge serving sizes, where as eating at 7:00 there serves as some feast that combines lunch and dinner They have a good happy hour from 5-8 i think. No need for confirmation, just show up at the bar. ship ship)
