I think he was talking about him being there last night. You might want to verify if he is going to be there again tonight.

People have mentioned receiving fake currency before ITT but maybe you would like to tell some of the other stories involving scammers that have happened to you? It seems that you've handled them well but maybe someone could give adviCe how to avoid this situations. Furthermore, your stories might give someone a HU so that they don't fall prey to these tricks.

Have any of you flown on Aerolineas Argentinas? I am trying to book a flight down to El Calafate (and can't find one on LAN) and it seems that I can't pay for the ticket online and there is some weird booking process that I am completely unfamiliar with.

Does anybody owns a mountain-bike? and if you do where you bought it? I considered flying with mine from home but at the end decided it was going to be a pain.

a group of us were in Calafate last week...we changed our plans to come home early, but we had to wait 4 days because the airport there broke down [the radar or something] and Aerolineas aren't efficient enough to put extra flights on. Then on the day we were flying out, our 7pm flight finally took off at 2am.
Beware, you may get stuck in El Calafate for a long time, and there's not alot to do

About paying for flights, yeah you cant pay online for Aerolineas, although you can if you book thru Expedia or Orbitz, there are alot of offices around the city where you can pay after you make your booking though.

Holy **** that was awful, I finally managed to get it done. I swear it would be literally impossible to make it any more difficult than it was to purchase flights--absolutely amazing that the company operates like that. I wish I could have found an open LAN flight, I am deathly afraid that this is all going to get ****ed up somehow.

I've read the entire thread, but it was a while ago but I can't seem to remember if anyone has already done this.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

Recoleta is going to have taller buildings. There probably aren't too many houses in Recoleta at all, whereas in Palermo there are a lot more of them.

It depends on exactly where you are even within those neighborhoods. There are parts of Palermo where I wouldn't want to live-- areas that just seem run down and not appealing at all. I don't think the same can be said about Recoleta.

Although for the most part both neighborhoods are very nice.

Palermo has several distinct areas. Most of the stuff north of Santa Fe is pretty similar to Recoleta. As you go further southwest you get a much different feel.

Its the official animal protection association here.
Even if you can go 2 hours a week 1 day a week or if you want more hours, its ok. Let me know if you're interested so I can ask whens the best time fo you or anyone to drop by.
The dos need someone that will take them for a walk sometime, the cats someone who can hold them, clean their cages, just play with them, you decide what you want. I doubt that anyone will want the cleaning part, but oh well.

This looks like right up my alley! Where is the animal shelter? I'm living in Nunez so hopefully not far? All the stray dogs everywhere in this city has been bumming me out and I've been hoping to find a way to help out.
Cheers
