Osaka is great to eat, if you want to go there, I can make you a great selection of plates. I don't know if you can get a place today for tomorrow, for weekends nights you usually have to reserve like two weeks in advance.

imakefrush,
Do you choose a place for tonight? Or should some one else choose it because you are not coming?

I would normally chose a place, but I had my wisdom teeth out a few days ago and can't really eat solid food yet, so I am going to sit this week out. So someone just throw a place out there and I'll continue on next week.

Ben,
I have the book you wanted to borrow, so if you want to get it, step up and choose a place for today's dinner.

I think I'll come along for the first time in a year, what time is it at? 9? Do people arrive on time or would some of us be sitting there for like 30 mins waiting. That happened a bit when I used to go and was a little headwrecking.

Hey, I'm about to be traveling around in Peru and Ecuador for a while before passing through BA on my way back to the states in mid-Dec. I don't have a lot of stuff, but I'm hoping to just travel with my backpack.
Any chance someone could help me out and let me leave a trunk full of stuff (mostly clothes) at their apartment till I get back? Everything I have fits in a trunk I've got thats like 1x1x3 feet. If someone's got a closet they can just throw it in to help me out, I'd be really grateful. If necessary, I can ship some FT monies to you for the help. Send a PM if interested.

Can't make the dinner tonight cause I'm going to see Tam Tam. It's African percussion/fusion music at Ciudad Cultural Konex if anyone else is interested. It starts at like 8 though, so this might be too late notice. http://tamtameros.blogspot.com/

This is obvious and goes without saying but if you ever receive any kind of phone call or anything that seems slightly fishy, just hang up. I just received a phone call from some numbskull trying to tell me he is the police and that a family member of mine was in a serious car accident (I've had a few one night stands in my years here but I'm always really careful!!!!!). He even had the name of the person who the telephone is listed under. It seems to be a popular scam as it has friends of mine have received similar calls. Just be on the lookout and make sure you don't give any information, especially not your address.

My nights off are Wednesday and Thursday, so if it happens on either, I'm down. I had a weekly game on Wednesdays with some expats from my baseball team, but we haven't played in a month and I'm jonesing for some live games.

i don't know about the crowd that has arrived recently but we play poker for a living, mike. so generally, the last thing we want to do is go play more poker when we're not working.

Personally, all of the online poker in the world (and I play my share, of course), can't compare to the feel of the cards in your hand, the look in the other man's eyes... online just feels so... heartless, you know?

OK, we're gonna play live next Wednesday as there are already a couple of interested persons.
This are the people that expressed interest:
* Me
* Todd? (the swedish guy)
* Addam
* The restaurant guy (I don't remember your name, sorry).
* mikew81
* Probably a friend of mine called Jose
We'll play the minimum stakes a player wants to play (it will probably be argentinan pesos 0.50/1 or 1/2.

Please confirm. Whenever we reach 9 players we close the table.
For now, I'm the only one confirmed.
