I'll go if someone can cover me in return for FT money. Still no debit card, so I got no cash.

Try Casa Zanzi on Talcuhano and Corrientes.

I can't say for sure that they have good stuff, but if they don't, short of taking your chances on Mercado Libre, I don't know if anyone would.

Just kind of stumbled upon this thread last night, after a google search to look for some action here. I've been here three years, and I'm glad to see so many people in the city.

Rodizio is a chain that has 4 or so here. one in puerto madero, another in costanera norte, and the others are pilar and martinez, i think. i guess there's also siga la vaca, which is also a chain.

Spettus and Rodizio in Puerto Madero. Both are pretty good, Spettus is a little bit more Brazilian.

Someone once said that the best way to get things sent to Buenos Aires from the US is via Fed Ex. I have never used Fed Ex to receive things before but whenever I had a package sent to me, I had to go down to this customs place in Retiro, get a ticket, wait there for hours and the process was just incredibly inefficient and just dumb. Especially being that they already sent someone to my house to deliver a notice that I had to sign saying I know that I have a package waiting for me. Is it the same way with Fed Ex? Is there anyway possible to have a package sent here from the US so that it is delivered to my door instead of having to go through the inconvenience of having to pick it up?

FedEx will drop things off at your door.

That being said, customs fees will have to be taken care of by the sender so keep that in mind.

Thanks Mikew,

I just want to make sure, we are talking bigger packages here right, not letters or smaller boxes right?

The only thing I've had delivered was an mp3 player from the states one year for Christmas, but the way I understand it, the size of the box won't matter... it's similar to the way FedEx delivers in the US.

And UPS will deliver big packages directly to your door?

Thanks again, that helps. I believe an mp3 player would fall just in the small enough category where you don't have to go pick it up. I've had a smallish book sent to me international that I was able to receive directly at my house. I was told that was because of the size and weight.

So, should we use Fedex or UPS to make sure it comes to the door and not have to go to that god damn place in Retiro?

If you have to go to the Correo, which is something I usually never recommend, I'd recommend going right when they open at 10AM. You can usually get in and out in 30 minutes.
