No, but I have bought other pieces of furniture from there and everything was well made and export quality.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

Hi

we really have trouble finding a really nice apartment in palermo for 6 months starting in october. Is it wise to rent a apartment for just 1 month and start searching for the other 5month when we arriver in BA?

Everything seem booked over the high season.

JAime is not the only rental go to. There are plenty other rental sites that you can check out. BA is huge and you'll always find smth, just gotta put in enough effort to find what you're looking for

if any of you run into Colin (Arturius) you should tell him he needs to reply to some threads on 2p2 about him in BFI/elsewhere

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

Anyone having a room available?

I'm traveling since almost two years and thinking about taking a break in Buenos Aires to focus on the upcoming WCOOP. I will stay at least a couple of weeks but might extend if I like the city. So if you have a room available or got some infos finding a shared apartment please let me know. I'd say I'm quite easy going and speak basic spanish.

More infos by PM
Cheers from Mendoza

PS Cordoba might as well be an option

FYI, found a great home-wares type place on Aguirre and Scallabrini Ortiz for those that are interested. Pots, pans, blenders, etc. Pretty much anything you need for cooking there.

Not sure. Will go by in the next day or two and tell you. But you can't miss it.

In other news, apparently the power surged and one of my two 30 inch monitors got screwed up...Looking to buy another monitor (30 if possible) so if anyone is selling, I'd consider buying in order to avoid the hassle of getting one shipped...

Let me know on that!

http://www.saltshaker.net/underground-dining-scene this seems to be a good link to help find some stuff

http://www.guiaoleo.com.ar/ is good for restaurant reviews but some of them are pretty off

do they not have 30" monitors down here?

Not that I can find, and certainly not for anything less than ~ $2000. Plus, getting it shipped seems like a giant bureaucratic hassle/shakedown.

Does everyone use Swiss Medical Insurance? 2+2ers have raved about it, but it's not exactly clear where one can buy/apply for it.

It really is just going into a branch and sitting down with an agent of theirs and signing up.

https://www.swissmedical.com.ar/smgp...lash.asp?id=93

Find a branch and just go in. That is how I did it.

Actually, apparently a broker is coming over to the house tomorrow and helping us get signed up over here. Sounds great... we'll see how it works out

Secured something simple for the first month, but haven´t found anybody yet who has access to the one tall building between humboldt/soler
(near Osaka)
Probably local agency?!

If some agent reads this, pm me.
