oh snap my bad, i meant azafran as well ofcourse. If there's no place on the list, the restaurant next to it (left side facing azafran) is good as well.

Dinner is on Thursday this week. Not sure why, but it was only posted on Facebook... if you're coming you need to sign up by Wednesday evening so that a reservation can be made.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

Anyone know decent places to eat at like 2am, 3am in Palermo Soho?

Missing the midnight Buenosairesdelivery.com cut off is such a beat.

i think a few of the pizzerias on santa fe are 24h. but overall, BA is a horrible city for 24hr food.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

U got some McDonalds that are open 24/24. I know it's not the best but when you crave for junk, it does the trick.

U got one on Scalabrini Ortiz that used to be open 24/24 in the weekend, the one @ Palermo alto shopping center used to be 24/24 all week. Also on the big street (continuation of santa fé through the tunnel on your way to las cañitas has a 24/24 all week. Check their site for locations and openinghours!

What's the best way to go about booking tickets for a Boca game? Or can you just show up?

Just showing up is not a good strategy at such a tiny stadium

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

you either need to do the full-on tourist overpaying route (google the boca experience) or you need to pay attention to when tickets will be on sale for the next game by visiting boca's website. usually the day before the game, the tickets will go on sale in the morning usually only at Boca's stadium. depending on how important the game is determines whether the tickets will go in a matter of minutes or hours.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

sometimes you can buy them on mercado libre! Didn't try that tho cuz i figured that sometimes you might get scammed. You met Ryan right? He is pro in going to soccer games, so he might be able to give you more info as well.

I've usually just bought them from socios who were friends of friends. I tried finding a way to find out about ticket sales on their web site just now and all I ever got to was the Boca Experience crap.

i'd be pretty shocked if it doesn't still exist, but i don't live there anymore, so i can't tell you for sure. also, 50% chance that masseuse isn't still there, and it's probably more like 90-100 pesos now

check private argentina, there's a good one near subte plaza italia..around 100 pesos w smth extra in the end optionally.

edit looked it up, think it was her. Heard friends say good things about her. She's actually qualified, said to show great technique and not just rubbing you like anyone can.

Buenos Aires spa was a place i didn't join a couple guys in, but there weren't that happy about it. Overpriced and not a great experience overall. I'm sure you find a good spa tho if you really look for it. Maybe look at this one:

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

ok I´ve asked about everyone I know down here but I´m gonna post here because no one seems to be able to help. As we know, FT´s ****ing wires are ´down´....I´ve been emailing back and forth and I don´t think that´s gonna change for awhile. On top of it my flatmate´s dog chewed on my debit card and I´m waiting for a new one. Anyways, I am trying to get around 600 bucks off tilt, in pesos bc I have to pay rent tomorrow. I´ve been trying all week but no dice so figured I´d post here. If it´s a trusted person I will ship first, that´s fine, and will obviously pay whatever bank fees and a vig if necessary. Shoot me a PM. Would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

A long and interesting thread, of which I have read around half of. Early on someone asks about using mobile internet but unless I missed it, the question wasn't really answered. I am currently in Bolivia using mobile Internet (by no means perfect) and I'm toying with spending around a Month in Buenos Aires. As such I imagine its not going to be possible to get a permanent connection set up, so I guess I am asking the mobile Internet question again. There was discussion of playing poker in a cafe using wifi - is this OK? For some reason I thought gambling in a public place might be frowned upon.

I have found I can't play on Party in Bolivia, it says the jurisdiction won't allow it. Has anyone managed to use Party in Argentina? I have also had trouble getting on to Cake for some reason here in Bolivia.

Accommodation - again, is it possible to get a flat for just say a month, or does spending such a small amount of time there mean a hostel?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Is it true that in BA resturants at dinner time will serve you up until around midnight/1am as standard?

Re: Moving to Buenos Aires discussion

che boludos--

I'm arriving in BA Sunday, and it's my birthday the following Saturday. I semi-speak Spanish now and would love to hang with some poker players.

I enjoy excessive drinking, long walks on the beach, and occasional drug use.

We could be friends! PM me.
