Yeah guess it is between Tues/Wed. Personally, I vastly prefer Wednesday and after talking to Boquense it is him, Chairman Wood, and some poker-playing Irish dude named Reggie that play on Tuesday. So that's four people that can't make Tuesdays very often, but obviously you guys started it so if Wednesday isn't good for people who already go, I don't expect it to be changed.

Just a thought.

That's me.

In fairness the tuesday game used to be on a mondays so it never clashed with the dinner.

So I'm officially coming to visit for Creamfields in two weeks and around 85% sure to be moving back in late Dec / early Jan so this is all relevant now.

What's the status on customs jerking people around who bring in electronics? FWIW, I'm trying to get in 2 30"s, a desktop, and a laptop which I'm sure isn't going to fly (though I'll be bringing the 30s one at a time). In the past I never had problems, but I had comparatively small monitors. But I do remember getting weird looks for even bringing in one 20". My 30" monitor has a custom flight case if that's relevant.

I know to get customs declarations from the USA and in theory that should protect me for an unlimited number of electronics for personal use, but I really don't want to get delayed at Ezeiza for an hour trying to sort things out with my now broken Spanish.

And since I just got a PM about this, if anyone is interested in going to Creamfields let me know. Myself, straate, and 2 other poker players are going to be flying in for it and anyone chill is welcome to join. You can either buy your own ticket or let me know in the next day or two and I'm having Boquense be my bitch and get them all at once. We'll also be going to the Boca game that Sunday if you have interest.

Which reminds me, once I move back I intend to continue my habit of going to every Boca home game so anyone who is looking for someone to go with can let me or Boquense know and you can join us.

I came with a buddy. Between the two of us we had two laptops, one desktop, one 30, and two 20's. Customs Xrayed and questioned us about them. I just told her they where used and are for personal use. She asked me a few times and tried to trip me up, but I stuck to the story and had no real issue.

To everyone who wanted me to buy their Creamfields tickets, I was unable to. I've got mine but I couldn't get anymore so you'll have to get them yourself. You are still, however, welcome to join us at the event. I just can't pick up the tickets for you.

It's one day, Nov 8th from generally around 3pm to 10am the next morning. It's held at the Autodromo which is really far from anything you've ever been to in Buenos Aires most likely. It's the largest electronic music festival in the world and has somewhere around 8 large stages / huge tents set up all over the place. Cost is AR$145 and tickets are available from Ticketek.

Last year was just insane with my favorite 3 acts being LCD Soundsytem, Chemical Brothers, and Carl Cox. Seriously like 75% of the people you see there will be rolling which was a bit weird since we only had weed, but it was fun nonetheless. Some really drugged out cute girls there rubbing up on you because they were so horny from E was pretty awesome.

If you like electronic music, you have to go. If you don't, it's probably still worth going to unless you hate clubs.

What? Unless there's a different Autodromo, that's in Capital. Did you not explore much of the city when you lived here?

It's in the capital, but the Autodromo is way the eff out there. I'll have to double check on a map, but I'm fairly certain I've never been near that neighborhood for any reason except possibly on the way to the airport.

Yeah it's in Villa Riachuelo. It is way the eff out there. Why would you have ever gone to that neighborhood? I mean that's barely even Capital Federal anymore.

That's all good and well but to be surprised that someone hasn't been there is a bit ridiculous. I'm fairly confident no more than a few people who post here have ever been there outside of an event at the Autodromo. And like I said I've been there, but I stated that it would be much farther out than most had ever been. I'm kind of surprised at the shock you displayed at this comment like I was saying someone had never had an empanada or something.

Edit: And I feel a bit justified after asking a friend who has lived in BsAs for 4 years and he had no idea wtf Villa Riachuelo was, let alone ever been there. Anyway, this is a dumb discussion.

I don't know why you seem to be taking such umbrage. I was surprised that you think that a place inside Capital is far away. Capital is pretty small, area-wise.

Edit: reread my original comment and I guess it's not the most gently worded. sorry, didn't mean to offend.
