...yours was just 60 peso's a month?

there aren't really any 2p2-dinners going on Scipio to my knowledge. Those that are here seem to be doing their own thing but I love to dine so I'll post here whenever we do go out.

I don't know - my gf took care of it. Said it was 60 pesos/month. Probably "upgrade" fee but since I'm not paying for the original base deal it's whatever. I also get up to 7/8 per second now.

And when I mean she took care of it, I mean she called up the landlord at the new place we moved into yesterday, and the landlord took care of it.

I hear there's a 30 MB package that I'd like to get. But the landlord didn't seem to know about that when my gf talked to her.

Looking to go to Casa Mun on nov. 4th

It's a closed-door restaurant, which I think means they only accept reservations, like 12 per night. Never been but I've been wanting to try it out for awhile: http://www.casamun.com/menu/

u have to pre-pay. Will probably make a decision by the end of today or tomorrow (25th-26th)

actually going the 11th now

----

Also thinking about doing a group dinner next week on the 3rd or 4th, trying to think of some restaurants to eat at...btw, is Sudestada any good? LozColbert loves it but the one time I ate there I thought it sucked.

Thinking about doing Osaka for the 4th.

Sudestada is rly good, i used to eat there for lunch like 2 times a week.

But seems like you either love that place or hate it.

Took some friends there once, but they didn't like it (Scipio, the gerrrrman to be precise).

So its "non standard" food, but its definitely good quality stuff.

Get the hot soup, burns like hell, but you'll feel like god after.

(fwiw, this was roughly 2years ago)

Also, does anyone know where I can get my earphones repaired? The cable ripped and the wires are sticking out. The buds are fine, it's just the wiring that needs to be replaced.

Pretty sure he told me the same thing the last time I ate there with him, which was a year before you did. The place is really small so you need a reservation for dinner and the food costs like 2x more for dinner than for lunch, so I just consider it a lunch place. I like the dumplings but I don't have a strong opinion either way on the other stuff.

you're asking a Moving to BsAs thread about living outside of BsAs when we're all foreigners?

say what?

I am asking a moving to B&A thread about moving to B&A, not sure why that'd be strange. You being foreigners who are or have lived there is more helpful, not less.

your thread talked about living outside of BsAs, thus my comment

You're picking a good time to come to SA, it's spring to summer here

I'm not sure if there was any sarcasm or so in the replies about your question but this thread is a perfectly acceptable place for them. Other places and cities within Argentina have been discussed in the past. Also, there are some Argentines that do appear in this thread from time to time.

I think one problem with your question is that very few of us have ever done anything but be tourists in the places where you seem to be interested in living. So we don't really know.

Earlier in the thread I remember some college aged person maybe living in Cordoba and others asking about Rosario. I don't remember specifics, they seemed to get by alright and they enjoyed it. Definitely not as many expats there. But really, those cities are smaller than BsAs but are still big cities in their own right.

Mendoza is also a pretty big city. But has a lot of nature options that you might be interested in. There is an expat community there. It´d be harder than Buenos Aires to set up shop there but not that much of a difference.

One of the issues I could imagine about finding a small town is that it might be difficult to find a place to live. Not because they are not available but the whole market of renting to expats without guarantees may not exist in the smaller cities. I just wouldn't know where to start. Craig's list probably.

In Patagonia which you thought was cool you have Bariloche and Calafate which are cities you might be interested in. You mentioned you don't want touristy but I'd say these places only exist due to tourism. You can't really avoid it but I think you could deal with it. You are always going to be dealing with the trade off of having nice places to eat and things to do versus being touristy. I don't know how the internet is there. I was last in the area about 4 years ago.

Hey guys, I'm coming out on the 2nd of November and had a place lined up, but its looking like who I was dealing with is a major flake and the deal is going to fall through. I'm looking for a 7 week rental starting the 2nd can pay up to $1500 a month, if anyone has any GOOD/RELIABLE contacts please lmk ASAP. I've already sent out a bunch of emails for some places, but if you know someone personally who could help me I'd really appreciate it.
