I study just twice a week. I don't do any homework so that really hurts me as I need to keep practicing verb conjugation and vocabulary. What has helped a LOT was speaking just constant speaking to people for whatever you need. Everyone's really really friendly out here.
I used to be fluent when I was a little kid, then I stopped speaking it, took spanish class from 7th-11th grade which didn't do **** for me. So essentially I hadn't spoken for 20 years, and then after being here for 2 days, I started picking it up really fast and was able to speak in sentences again.
When my friend moves out here, we're going to take a class at a university somewhere:

when I was living in Korea, I did a language school at one of their biggest universities. I was worse off w/korean than spanish so it was pretty necessary + I didn't know ANYONE. Language schools @ Uni's are a great way to network, and to meet locals, they had a global language exchange center where you could meet people (mostly girls) and practice english/korean. We plan on doing that out here.

I do like using a tutor. She's been incredibly helpful and since I need to grind pretty hard for a couple months, this is the most economically efficient way to learn. She comes here, we learn, I go back to poker right after.
