it's so early the restaurant might not even be open.

I was thinking that 8pm might actually make it easier since we don't know how many people will show up and from what I've read restaurants get exponentially busier around 9...but I am not a local and defer to your guys judgement.

FWIW the hours posted for the restaurant on the link provided are

"Tuesday to Sunday, all day"

We are not at all opposed to doing this later though. 9pm then? Whatever works, really.

they do get busier later on, but later on is more like 10pm. 9pm is when the first people start to show up. I'm not sure that I've seen a place that waits until 9pm to open, although maybe I'm wrong since I'm not often showing up before then. Many places open at 8.

Just bought myself a tennis racquet, going to play tomorrow. I know there's a place near costa salguero. Can I just go there and rent a court to play? Or is there somewhere better that I can go play without being a member. Cheers.
Also, quick bump for this question:

Wherever you decide to play I would highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation especially on a saturday. If you want to play outdoors the place you are talking about is a good option but I don't remember its name or #. If you want to hide from the sun there are decent indoor courts at Costa Rica and Thames 4832-3737.

Sterlinguini, Chris_Tuff, TJI, Random non-poker playing girl and myself ended up going out and having a blast last night. We are planning on doing this again next week if anyone is interested. Also, glad to be told about those indoor tennis courts. I ran by them on my first day here and have been unable to find them since. Great success.

If you stop a random person on the street there's probably about a 90% chance they've been to Miami.

Now whether they have an uncle (in the Latino sense of the word) who lives in Miami...

unfortunately my Spanish speaking *skills* still involve lots of painful gesturing and apologies. But if she knows even a speck of english and is patient I do have a chance...

Looking for a new roommate for the end of Feburary. Me and a poker player (Australian and an American) live in a large apartment in Recoleta, one of the best spots in the city, a very safe neighbourhood but very centralised with lots of great things walking distance. Also if you're into going out and partying you'll be in the right house, I'm virtually an alcoholic with too many alcoholic friends. Also we've both been here a while so anything you need we can help you out with.

House comes with all the creature comforts + playstation 3, a wii, and a great grind room. Pictures available on request.
