Sounds like it's pretty unpleasant to go outside? I've never really minded the Vegas summer that much. Humidity much less preferable.

Unlike Vegas, this place is naturally suitable for human living, but it get's pretty hot sometimes. 30 celsius is completely standard here in the summer, but this summer is being o lot more benevolent, today is a very nice day 24 celsius and 41% humidity. Not a typical Buenos Aires summer day.

This probably isn't the perfect place for this question but just looking for some opinions:

I am going to come travel through Argentina in about a month and I think I know what I want to do but just not sure what the best order to do it in is. So I am planning on flying into BA, staying about a week and then A) traveling South to Tierra del Fuego do a bunch of exploring/checking out the various national parks, sweet glaciers etc then moving up towards the Lake District hanging out in Bariloche and other areas nearby then rounding out my trip in Mendoza (and maybe going to Cordoba? thoughts on Cordoba?) or B) basically doing the opposite BA-->Mendoza area-->Lake District-->glaciers/natl parks and Tierra del fuego then back to BA to depart.

Is it significantly easier to go one direction more so than the other for those of you that have traveled around a bit down there? Thanks a lot, love reading the thread and hopefully I can meet a couple of you when I am in BA. I plan on buying a one way ticket, having a loose schedule w certain things that I want to do then travel around till I accomplish those things or feel like I need to go home. Any awesome things you've done in any of the areas I plan to visit I would love to hear about.

Went to Parque Norte for a swim for the first time ever today. If I ever have a daughter I am insta-giving her up for adoption....

Can't really tell you. If one of those places has some special seasonal activities or some festival I would try to plan the trip so that you are there at the right time but I don't think one way is better or easier than the other. I think almost always for every one bus trip going from X to Y there is another one going Y to X. I can't say for sure but I think it is that way. While there I've done mostly the classic touristy things and really enjoyed them. All are beautiful places although I wasn't too impressed with Tierra del Fuego ( I was only in Ushuia and the parts around it though). I didn't see it in your plans above but I wouldn't miss Torre del Paine in Chile. I have limited hiking experience (the alps and a few places in the western US) but it was my favorite place in the world to hike thus far. A few posts up some people also had some restaurant recommendations for Mendoza.

My friend and I are coming to BsAs around 19-21th January, we went to colombia before and Met all the 2p2ers staying in medellin I think, would love to do the same in Argentina ofc.

What is the benefit of playing online from Argentina ? Is there a particular reason other than BA rocks, and its a great place to party?

i dont think there is any. if you're out of the U.S. for 300 days out of the year (I think) then you don't have to pay taxes on your first 80k (I think) of income. But that applies anywhere.

You can play on euro sites as an American, but you still have to jump through a lot of hoops to be able to and I haven't done that. Other than that, if you like your internet out randomly for a few days at a time then this is a great place to play poker.

Cost of living. You have a fixed ammount of income (what you make playing online is independent of where you play from), but you spend totally different in here than in places like the US or Europe. So, you can save more or have a better living style, or both.

i am in buenos aires now. i am surprised by how big it is. like it a lot. i would love it if not for the fact that i hate latinos. i dont know if i have time to scan through the thread any quick suggestions on food? theatres? id love to go to a soccer game but i guess cant...
