Also Argie Wagyu is really damn good and like $40 for a NY Strip vs $120 in the USA.

If we compare average steak, Argentina crushes.
Where do you recommend for an Argentine Wagyu? The only one I've had was from one of the Puerto Madero resteraunts, cost $50, and did not compare to a US or Japanese counterpart. Outside of that, I agree with everything else said in the thread.

One note, I've had a lot of success after I realized how much you need to stress the rareness to the server. Muy muy azul (blue) por favor will often get you an American medium rare instead of the stadard medium or medium well you get when ordering rojo or jugoso.

You can get Wagyu at La Cabrera. First two times I went it was reallly good, went like 2 nights ago and it was terrible. It's only like 100 pesos.

There's another place in Puerto Madero (can't remember the name), but it was probably better.

Hi

I am coming back to BA for a couple of days this Wednesday. Am heading for beers and a club afterwards in San Telmo on Wednesday night if anyone wants to come.

Also, if any of the 2+2ers who remember me from when I lived in BA last year have a place I can crash for a few days, that would be cool.

PM me for either.

thanks

Alright, we'll take it back to the basics tonight and try La Rosalia in Palermo Soho. The last few restaurants have been new and polished places that focus on the ambiance more than the food. Judging by the pics, this place looks like the exact opposite. So this should def be a more 'typical' Argentine dinning experience.

9:00 PM.

Most of the BA 2+2ers I met like to drink and chase women. That, along with the poker, the restaurants and the travelling is enough to keep us busy

A lot of people are on vacation in January, if you want to visit Bs As. I would say its better in march, when people come back from vacation. At least you get hot weather still.
