Then over the next three Wed.:

I'm so there.

Watched Hitchcocks "Rear Window" this morning. Just like 12 Angry Men, I'm amazed how indepth and interesting the movies are even though they're filmed in one room.
Not to mention the smoking hot female lead, Grace Kelly.

I need some help this is driving me insane.
cant remember if it was in a movie or a TV show and don't remember any of the actors.
some guy goes to dinner at his friends house and they try to set him up with a butch aggro chick. the couple start fighting and so the guy and the chick take off. they weren't really getting along but at some point the girl punches the guy in the head (they're sitting in her truck) and then forces him to either go down on her or have sex with her.
that's all I remember and I realize its not giving u alot to go on but if anyone can tell me wtf this is from I will be extremely grateful.

edit: could it have been an ep of californication?

That was an episode of Louie I think, although the going down scene is a bit different. I don't want to tell you how so you can watch it again for some lolz.

Looks like season 3 episode 2.

ya someone just told me but Ty that was driving me crazy.

Inglourious Basterds

I didn't like it much. It felt like it wanted to have its cake and eat it, being both a condemnation of patriotic propagandist war films and a jolly Nazi killing adventure. Maybe it's possible to do both but IB didn't succeed. Being both heavy handed in its moralizing and slow and not very entertaining in its jingoism.
Christoph Waltz was great but Brad Pitt seamed miscast and his character under written.

Note when Scottie looks at the painting for the last time, and Carlotta looks back into his eyes.

Random

Field of dreams is still amazing
Dancing with wolves is still good

Not a tony Scott fan, don't exactly know why,

Whenever I watch a Denzel movie I don't see his character, I only see Denzel. I think he should step out of his comfort zone

It's great. One of my all time favorite films.

Am I the only person who didn't really care for Zero Dark Thirty?

I liked the first scene and the last, but I didn't care for much in between the two.

If it helps, after thinking about it some more, there are way too many inconsistencies and unanswered questions for it to make sense and/or be a good movie.

I still enjoyed the two female leads, tho. Yowza.
Never apologize! I loved Sucker punch

Look back over the thread... you'll see the truth of it. personally, I don't like any of her movies.

Really liked Oblivion. But then the only things I paid attention to were: photography, gfx and music...

Joseph Kosinski is that you? Because that's all the director cared for in Oblivion.

Not liking IB is ok but if someone doesn't like the opening sequence I would seriously question both thier taste and sanity.

You're right. I guess I was remembering the "regulars" opinion when I made that comment. I was hoping that Argo or ZDT would give me a much needed good action or suspense movie, but was disappointed with both.

Also, I saw a trailer for Only God Forgives and its now my most anticipated movie.

Have any of you attended Telluride Film Fest or AFI Film Fest? Debating them as the future of Vancouver International Film Festival is up in the air because their main venue went out of business.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is on TV while I grade papers.

Was it always this bad?

Not when I was 8.

I was just thinking, why cant another super great action movie like Die Hard be released. Then I realized I probably have to be like 13 to appreciate the way I appreciated die hard when I was little. God ****ing dammit **** like that was mindblowingly awesome to a degree a grown up cant even experience when it comes to movies.

For us grownups there's like sex and other highlights, but a movie like that can literally be the BEST THING a young kid has ever experienced.

Apparently, the next Indy film will be awesome - odd ones are good while even one suck.

Raiders - great film - a classic.
Temple of Doom - annoyingly bad. Nice action, tho.
Last Crusade - pretty damn good
Crystal Skull - all-time worst

Obviously you haven't watched the Fast and Furious movies.

Spot on. I don't care for the film as a whole, but the opening sequence is just magnificent.
