I keep seeing the previews for this and it looks really good. I liked Gaga in AHS.

8.9 on IMDB with 7k votes.

I had no idea Bradley Cooper could sing or play the guitar.

And this song is incredible:

Lady Gaga as a regular person is somehow an even bigger star than she is as "Lady Gaga." What a face. What a voice.
I like Gaga, but the previews look horrific -- almost as though it were scripted by Rosie M. Banks. But maybe I'm still suffering PTSD from watching a Streisand vehicle of the same name.

Finally watched Annihilation

Having read the book first there's no way the movie was going to match it, mostly because the book would be impossible to film.

The Screaming Bear is a thing made out of nightmares, but the ending didn't really hook me. It felt like a stereotypical sci fi ending to a unique film. The score was wild though.

Wow, can't wait to see this.

For those unaware, her name is Stefani Germanotta and she is uber talented. Don't get it twisted, the girl's a genius.

I thought some might get a kick out of this...

Private commission by Juan Ruiz Burgos of the Big Lebowski movie poster came out great.

Wow that looks like it could really tie a room together. That is awesome.

Since these are screen printed as opposed to machine printed lithographs, they can be troublesome and really take a high degree of artistic skill by the designer and the print maker.

I love'em.

Hold the Dark was a huge disappointment. As a big fan of both Green Room and Blue Ruin, I had very high hopes for this, but it really missed the mark. Some great scenes make it almost worth watching, but the pacing was all over the place and the ending just left me scratching my head.

Watched Mandy. Hadn't read anything about it before hand so I had no idea what to expect. Thought it was going to be a standard horror movie set in the woods. Didn't even recognize Cage at first, just thought it was some random actor who looked like him lol. Never seen him heavy set before.

Normally not my kind of movie but still found it pretty entertaining. The beginning was kinda boring but once the Jesus freaks show up its pretty captivating.

Bathroom scene with cage was absolutely incredible.

Brimstone https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1895315/
Suspensful tale of retribution set during the end of the 19th century.
Great performances from Dakota Fanning as a mute woman who is chased across the American west by Guy Pearce, her religous fanatic father who twisted his beliefs to give him an excuse to torment and abuse her.
Brimestone was really good. Dark, bleak, and twisted as all get out but still good.

I also watched it Annihilation(2018) last night on Prime Amazon. Liked it but I'm a sci fi fan. Reminded me a bit of Arrival, where the US military asks a female scientist to examine a mysterious phenomenon that turns out to bear on her personal life, combined with the movie, Shape of Water. It was very creepy and horror-filled but also with beautiful imaginative visual imagery and effects. The final lighthouse "dance" scene was spectacular. The individual episodes within the movie can stand alone as high entertainment, but, on the he downside, the overall plot doesn't make much sense. It is never really explained why they send five scientists into a strange geographical zone and choose only women and have them carry automatic weapons and little or no scientific instruments. The reason turns out that it really is a psychological themed movie about senescence rather than an adventure movie. Don't miss the lead's eyes in the very final shot.
Not as good as Arrival which I give grade A+ but definitely worth a watch

Ugh, I hate spoke word poetry.

At least with a book of poems, I can put the book down and walk away without looking disrespectful.

I do enjoy rap, but I don't get into the lyricism like many others do.
