Pulp fiction
Kill Bill 1
Kill Bill 2
Jackie Brown
Inglorious basterds
Reservoir Dogs
Django unchained
Hateful eight
Death proof

P.T. Andersen is my favorite working director. If we’re talking the new school then it’s Villeneuve.

Altman was better and made more interesting films than any of these directors.

I'm curious to know what you're other two are. (I say two because 2001 has to be in your top five as well.)

9) Death Proof

But I liked all of them a lot except for Death Proof, which I only liked.
I couldn't disagree more with placing Vol. 2 above Vol. 1.

Empire Strikes Back for personal sentimental reasons and maybe Ghost in the Shell? 2001 is for sure in there.

I'm not sure what my top five would be, but my "personal sentimental" choice would be Forbidden Planet. It's been a favorite of mine ever since I was a child and is the movie that first got me interested in SciFi and made me a SciFi fan for life.

on first watch i remember thinking kill bill 2 was better but i enjoy rewatching kill bill 1 quite a bit and never want to rewatch kill bill 2

I've never known what to make of Quentin Tarantino -- whether his flicks were rip-offs, parodies, pastiches or homage. I used to assume rip-off. Then he had a TV show where he'd show a movie and afterwards comment on it, and I loved to watch it. I started thinking, "This guy really knows his stuff."

So now I enjoy watching his movies through the eyes of a film fan, and a lot of the things that used to make me cringe no longer do; and the Kill Bills and Pulp Fiction can handle multiple viewings.

Although it was a collaboration, I still rate Four Rooms in my top 5 Tarantino list,

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle should be awful, but it is absurdly good. Great cast. Great acting. Great story. Great laughs. Great romance. Great callbacks to the original. I'd watch it again right now.

That looks pretty spot on to me.

KB 1 and 2 together make a single two part movie.... not two movies.

Every competent director should make it an imperative to make their own version in honor of Kubrick

Yes, we're all aware of that.

If it makes you feel better, I'll say I liked the first half of Kill Bill better than the second half, rather than say I liked Vol. 1 better than Vol. 2.

dunno man, if I had to buy two tickets for it it counts as two movies
