A hot scientist who always has someone tell her " It's an honour to meet you, You wrote the book on nanotechnology/molecular biology/whatever complicated sciencey thing your expertise is in"

Murder scenes 1 & 2
Two veterans are talking about a horribly mutilated corpse in a casual manner “ Well, it looks like his entire skin was removed by a powerful chemical agent, he must have died in agony, have you seen that new show on Netflix?” Meanwhile a rookie in the background is struggling not to vomit.

Pathologist: “I’ll know more after the autopsy”, clicks medical case shut in a decisive manner.

But this is an improvement. They used to smoke a cigarette while eating a sandwich while performing an autopsy.

"Give me the bone saw and an ashtray. And I thought I told you to mop up that mess."

I would write it thus: The medical examiner crushed out his cigar in the cadaver's eyeball while simultaneously proclaiming the deceased died from cyanide poisoning administered by a descendant of the Borgia's that is currently living in Sicily - Under the assumed name of Alfonso Accardi.

I would write a movie script - but I will not because I know no movie studio would have the Balls to produce it. Thus my time would be wasted.

Silencers on guns making no noise
Chloroform to the mouth is instant knockout
Breaking a mans neck completely that they fall down silent and dead instantly
Anything with time travel
Holodeck malfunctions
Countdowns to catastrophic events
Anything zombie related
Anything vampire related

Unfortunately caught a few minutes of London Has Fallen waiting for the next show to come on the other night. Was something like this:

British force leader: Do not go in. We'll have support in 20 minutes.
American hero: The president will be dead in 10 minutes.
BFL: They have 100 bad guys inside.
AH: Well, they should've brought more then.

Ugh.

In case it wasn't mentioned, getting shot with a handgun
a) blows the person backwards 10-15' off their feet, seriously violating the laws of physics,

b) allows them to stagger backwards into the nearest wall, look down at their wound, and then slooooowwwwwly slide down the wall. Leaving a blood smear behind them as if every bullet is a clean shot through and through.

Have to say, I'm a fan of the slow slide blood smear.

Except for the fact that Hill street blues was one of the greatest TV programs ever I would be inclined to put “Let’s be careful out there “ on the list

Two characters finally speak some real truth to each other. But, before either can actually react, one (or both) of them get an urgent phone call.

In any detective show with a group of suspects, after the detective has interviewed a suspect, after the dec leaves every suspect will either:-

A) Immediately make a phone call

B) Look in a drawer/ safe or

C) Stare pensively into the distance

I give them a pass for being the creators, as I give Mozart a pass for writing so many commercial jingles.

Mozart jingled for money; he was a spendthrift. Robert Schumann is the real deal, for piano anyway.

When someone approaches a door, almost turns the handle or knocks, but then slowly pushes the door open because it's already slightly ajar.

no matter the danger or situation, the pet dog will never be harmed unless as a plot device

people never closing the door behind them

nobody ever takes a dump unless for narrative purposes

conversations are never dry and awkward unless it's to set something up

footage of a car in motion that doesn't pertain to plot (road trip movie, setting the scene/showing off status, etc) nearly always means there's going to be a crash

I’m tired of watching shows where a girl is kept in a secret lab and then murders everyone and escapes but has a split personality between murderer/ super girly.
