• Everyone picks their own category

It can be vague "pre 2000s comedies" or specific "Movie adaptations of 90s animation" or whatever you want. No limitations other than there has to be enough draftable options for the number of players involved. Just post your category in thread whenever you've come up with it.

• Everybody drafts something from each category other than their own

Draft order to be randed than then you can pick from the categories in any order you want. 4 hour draft slots sound ok? Don't want it too drawn out. You can PM someone your pick if you know you won't be around (someone who has already picked from that category or the category owner)

• Once the draft is complete you rank the people who drafted in your category

Should be based on the quality of the movie or if you've not seen the drafted movie then you can base it on how much you now want to see the movie (good write up will pay off here!)

• Once all the rankings are in we can see who the overall winner is

Average out the rankings and tie breakers can be based on whoever got the most 1st places etc

So we choose our category now? I thought it would be with our first pick. Raises the suspense Can somebody else pick a movie from our chosen category before we do? Like could I pick a Hitchcock before you if my pick is before yours?

I thought the category of our choice would be displayed with our first pick and subsequent picks would be in the category choices others had made. This makes the strategy of which category I choose trickier and need to think on it.

I don't pick a Hitchcock movie, everybody else does.

You pick 1 thing for everybody's category except your own.

Once everyone has drafted all the movies, you have to rank everything that people picked in your categories.

I'm assuming that you've seen a bunch of Hitchcock and Kubrick movies.

You draft your favourite and then when everyone has drafted them then I rank them in my opinion.

The category you pick should be something you're fairly familiar with and would be comfortable ranking.

If you play these drafts for the recommendations then you'll get them from all the other categories, picks and write ups.

This is very complex, so I had to sacrifice a goat and read its entrails to get my answer. Straight prayer to Baal did not work. Plus I may be travelling some soon but decided I'll play anyway. I may be run over consistently by the time limit but don't mind at all.
