When either a person, a couple or a small team exclaim that they're going to beat the many people or large team that is in front of them, the latter always laughs. But it's never funny.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but in horror movies where the villain is always right behind his intended victim. The victim can be running like hell and the villain walking at a slow, even pace, yet the killer remains right behind him.

Someone will find an elusive clue or discover something they've been searching for and say "Son of a b*tch"

Someone is chasing someone or running from someone. They reach and elevator and frantically push the button a bunch of times. After waiting for about two seconds they opt for the stairs.

Protagonist enters a room to converse or have a meeting with someone else, usually his boss, superior officer, or lover/spouse. After they've finished talking and protagonist is about to leave, other person will offer a piece of advice, word of warning, or something similar.

The cop who just lost his badge / guy whose wife just left him is drowning away his sorrow (beer / whisky , its a flip) at the dimly lit bar. It will either be a classic rocker dive with a lot of bikers and shady types hanging around, or a jazz place with drunk, desperate people and a live band consisting of a saxophone, a bass and a piano (played by a 60+ year old black guy with a fedora).
Then the bartender will say "Hey buddy, don't you think you've had enough?"

Oh, and anything (tho mostly TV shows i guess), where you already know everything that will happen 5 minutes in, bc you know everything is gonna be a huge cliché.. action movies, romantic comedies, sitcoms etc..

Hopelessly helpless female lead walks into the biker bar / bad neighbourhood. Big scary looking guy keeps looking at her, she's freaked out. Then she gets harrassed by four other people and the guy comes out of nowhere to knock them all down and save her. SO HE WAS ACTUALLY A GOOD GUY LOOKING OUT FOR HER!

Bombs always have big, blinking, beeping timer displays. Evil geniuses who devise bombs are always thoughtful enough to include a visible display (usually LED) of how much time remains before the bomb detonates, giving the hero accurate feedback on exactly how much time remains.

All computers everywhere are connected. You can access any computer or network anywhere in the world from any other comptuer or network.

In very dangerous situations like war, a natural disaster, or growing up in a violent inner city neighborhood, the person with the most plans, prospects, hopes, and dreams will definitely die, because that is sooo extra tragic amirite?
