This year I fully intend, on New Year's Eve, to stay home by myself, drink until I'm drunk (hasn't happened in years), and spend the night drunk posting and texting with no regrets. After all, it's what I deserve.

Eggnog drinks, judiciously spiked, are recommended; they help protect the lining of the stomach and you can drink more with longer duration.

I had two job interviews this past week.

The first went like this:

"dave, this is my concern..." and I told him I have no rebuttal to that.

It took less than 24 hours to get the "no thanks" email from them.

The second one went a lot better, but it could go either way. Usually, companies would have sent a follow-up by now, so I can only assume they are moving slow or they felt I'm not worth talking to at all.

Meh... I don't know.
