we dont need teachers after about 5th grade. 90% of what they teach is right from the text book that can be read. and no need for grades. just present the course in text books and video and let the student get what he wants or can from it. it isnt up to society to cram it down his throat.
wallah,, and guess what,, property taxes go down a third, and teachers get to find a real job and be productive in society instead of having tenure for life and a giant pension to boot with summers off and paid.

hows that.

Things heating up here.

My students, I hope, benefit from the study and research I do and have done over the years. Students might read a few poems, but unless they go to grad school, and perhaps not even then, will they read all the books I've read on poetry and poetics. So I hope I have something to offer.

i just wanted to rile up you two school moms. and it worked i see. but in todays technology it is a valid point to be addressed. of course those that suffer never agree and those that benefit are all for it. its that way in most decisions.

to carry on. the teachers costs combined are about 85 % of the whole schools budget for the year at a cost of around 10,000 per student .
