I have had all sorts of family stuff happening this weekend and will have even more in the next couple of days. But even so it still doesn't feel Christmasy to me even though it is Christmas Eve. But it seems like every year this happens as I get older and older. But I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday season.

Some things sound like a great idea with 3 beers and then you reflect on it one hour later and you think... what?

As I said before, I invited said girl to some friend's Thanksgiving... I deleted her number, which makes sense.

I see her tonight, and she says loudly: "there he is!" I covered her tab, then continued to ignore her for the rest of the night.

It was a bit of a smattering of alcohol and music. We all jammed together. Some guy drummed for me. We both improvised and more or less played well off each other. The girl drummed for her and someone drummed for her... and of course, someone mentioned that it would have been awesome to see me and the girl on stage.

I asked someone if my music sucks, because it sure seems it with all the garbage that's happening lately. Of course, I'm left to know if that's an honest answer or not.

At the end of the night, the girl snuck up on me and gave me a big hug. I then told her that I deleted her number. She thanked me for my honesty, apologized for treating me like ****, said something or the other about how I deserve better, how the night she and I gigged together ****ed her brain up, and whatever the **** else people say when they have too many beers.

I told her to keep in contact if she wants to, no hard feelings, and either way, I'll see her next time.

Overall, I couldn't ask for better or worse. The people who needed to be happy about the night were very happy to see people they knew. I spent more money getting others drunk than I spent on myself, and that to me, is the best gift I can expect to give on Christmas... which is a lot more than I usually give.

I guess it was just another night. Tomorrow, I'll probably be writing music or doing some work.

Woman at drugstore: "You always smell so nice. What cologne are you wearing?"

Me: "L'air du desert Morocain."

She just sorta shrugs and says she'll never remember that.

Anyway, see pic of part of cologne database, and see if you can tell which is a gift from daughter.

That data base is severely lacking. I don't see any Old Spice, Brut, English Leather or Hai Karate.

Yeah, I just tell the girl at Walgreens, "Whatever Joe Namath uses."

My guess is Donald Duck and I bet it smells amazing.

There used to be a smoke shop in Hollywood Blvd that had a collection of about 500 vials of oils, which people used to mix together their own cologne creations.
