I was having a discussion at the bar about the internet. Some guy said the internet was the greatest thing ever created, but humans managed to destroy it in 10 years. Somehow, the internet didn't foresee that coming.

I stay well away from all that discussion of toxic masculinity, 3rd wave feminism, SJW, and far-left liberalism, *-guilt, *-privilege, and so on. Unlike most things that rot, the more you fight it, the more it gets attention, and the more it grows and gains power.

Once you say "what do you think of 'toxic masculinity'?" you are offering legitimacy to a horrible concept that only serves to destroy half the population, and thus, I refuse to acknowledge that as a concept.

Studies have shown, however, that the cost of this attitude towards "boys are evil" has already had far-reaching effects. Look at the gender breakdown of college students, and look at the lawsuits against Harvard. The opposite of hatred isn't hatred.

Proctor and Gamble's (who owns Gillette) stock price was up today. Evidently, there are no short term market rumblings. I guess they're happy for the publicity just like they were when the put out the racially controversial ad called "the talk". They received an Emmy for that.

At least Southpark has fodder for a good episode.

I don't use Gillette razors, in case anyone really cares (you don't).

They had a good product when they had that 3 blade thing that vibrated, but then one day, their blades got more expensive and didn't last very long at all. I've been using Schick G2 disposables for years and been really okay with them.

The funny part is that Dorco razors was the world's best kept secret. Get 5 twin blades for $1 and the best shave you could ever ask for. No wonder why someone decided to arbitrage the brand.

When my granddaughter, who I took to dance class and then dinner tonight because my daughter and son-in-law are both sick with the flu, looks at me and tells me I'm the world's best grandpa (even if it's not true), the world seems okay.

In other news, I'm getting an acoustic guitar. The last one had it's head knocked off in a tragic accident about 2 years ago.

Spent part of the day taking granddaughter to dance and then to the local high school for costume fitting. Woman asked me if she had black tights at home, and when I shrugged, she said, "Isn't this your daughter?"

I told her it's my granddaughter and thanked her profusely.

Possibly. Second time this week. Woman in bar saw pic of granddaughter on phone and asked if she was my daughter. Of course, she may have been flirting with me, but I'm hopeless.
