I'm going to the optometrist tomorrow as I need more contact lenses. Otherwise I would put it off longer. I have seen my Dr. for my annual physical and my dentist for some cavities but have postponed my teeth cleaning since I want as few people as possible digging around in my mouth as possible during a global pandemic.

Other than that I have only frequented grocery stores since this crap started. I really have no desire right now to mix or mingle but then again I don't mix or mingle much in normal times.

I just went last week....everyone is wearing masks, including you

mask wont save you from that close a distance if they spew on you.

just for glasses no one needs to be close to you to read charts.

I had a haircut a few days after the first lockdown was lifted. Unfortunately, the haircut place I normally go to was looted, so my preferred haircut girl is possibly not working anymore. The shop didn't reopen, and the storefront is now up for lease.

They will take your temperature. Apparently, my temp read over 100, but it was 90 degrees outside and I walked from the train to the shop. Gave me about 5 minutes to cool off and it was all good.

I'm not the guy that looks good after 1 month of no haircuts, much less 3 months.

Speaking of the "thing." Anyone here get it, or know someone that has gotten it? I know diebitter said he likely had it, but just curious what everyone is experiencing.

My step-son and nephew both tested positive, but they work in high risk jobs.

My kids's father died two weeks ago from complications from Covid.

I have two step-children, who have been with me for about 35 years. Their dad died a couple weeks ago. I just naturally refer to them as my kids because they are.

Sorry to learn about that John.

I don't know anyone that's had it.

a group is suing to get a large block of counties annexed to idaho. see northern california and a big part of oregon and the eastern half of washington state are more conservative and outdoors people.
they want to leave their states and go into idaho if idaho will take them.
tired of the liberal populated areas putting rules and taxes on the rural spots for the benefit of the cities.
that will also take zeno along for the ride.

I got a call yesterday informing that I have a dentist appointment today. Oh, really? The dentist are open?

"You can cancel if you want." Nah, I'll go.

He had on two masks and a face shield. Very strange times; I can only hope it's not like this next year...

Uh oh, could be a rough night. I bought an expensive bottle of gin this week (usually drink rotgut) and the first drink was incredibly good. I can only hope I stop in time Happy Friday!

please elaborate on said bottle of gin and how you're consuming it.

I typically get New Amsterdam which is my gin of choice because it is really good and very economical. I prefer it to Tanquery, Beefeaters, Booths, Bombay etc and it is 2/3 to half the cost. I typically mix my gin with either Tonic or Squirt. Today is Tonic.

Today's gin of choice is Aviator which I bought on a whim. Hollywood designer booze It's owned by Ryan Reynolds and I decided I would try it after he made a clever internet commercial with that peleton girl right after the uproar over that Christmas peleton commercial. Finally got around to it.

It is really outstandingly tasty and smooth but probably not worth the cost.

Update. I am 3 deep right now and decided to go back to the cheap stuff. I can't tell the difference

That Aviator gin isn't some vintage stock from the room Howard Hughes was hole up in, I hope.

Who else is ready for some baseball??!!

Royals and Padres just made a trade. Hopefully KC can see Franchy Cordero realize his potential like Jorge Soler.

It's the perfect time of year for cheap gin and tonics. Squeeze of lime. Salted cashews. I'm try to think of a gin I don't like. Will have to report back.

I haven't seen any. I don't generally watch comedies these days. I prolly should for my development as a human, but I've been more interested in darker sh*t unfortunately

I hear that.

How come gin and tonic in a can is always mixed so perfectly? What ratio are they using? (Yes, I did google it.)

Played golf twice this week, the second time with friends who are both 70. I was their translator because neither can hear a ****ing thing.

Going to my secretary's house tonight to drink after eye appointment. She tells me I possess the thing women find most appealing in a man my age--good hearing.

This explains so much. I've been as deaf as a post for over 50 years. However, I do have good skills at making eye contact and nodding my head wisely whenever a cute girl is saying something.

5% of a can of gin and tonic is alcohol, 40% of gin is alcohol, therefore 12.5% of the can is gin.
