Hand 1: Either shove or fold preflop.

Hand 2: CALL CALL CALL!

Hand 3: CALL CALL CALL!

I don't why you insist on bet-over-shoving with hands when you are likely facing bluffs or strong hands. Your aggression has no value.

Finally, post in the HU forum.

Hey, ya know those novelty machines where like 100 quarters hang precariously over a magnetized ledge and after feeding it about $5 you get a couple to fall and your a "winner"? I think that's pretty much the concept behind PS PCA "Steps". Taping my eyelids open and injecting battery acid straight through my pupils would have been more fun. And I couldn't stop! Played like a dozen and never got past step 2. I guess I missed the strat post where A-rag is the new nuts, and 10x pre is now the standard raise. A few gems:

Went up to Billings Friday for my son to get his windshield fixed. He wanted to play a little live poker so we head over to the Crystal Lounge and the Queen of Hearts cardroom for some lively 3/6 limit action.

Pretty loose game filled with every type character from the guy playing the poker machine behind him betweens hands and playing every hand to an old rancher who wanted to raise anything PF and just kept pulling out $100 bills to rebuy.

Took $77 home and would have been more if the loosest player at the table had not caught an 8 to make his straight (with some crazy thing like 57o) to crack my set of aces. the boy took about $40 home and would have taken more but he had the poker machine player suck out on him on the river three times.

All in all, a fun 3 hours in a small Montana cardroom.

good times Fish.

I'm sort of jealous that you can sit down and enjoy a game. How the game was meant to be played.
I wonder how many of us on this site have lost 99% of the enjoyment poker once had.

I never enjoyed poker. I read SSHE three times before I ever picked up two hole cards. Yeah, I learned the strategy before I knew the rules.

Yes, when I first started really learning how to play I was WAY too serious. Then I started reading about all the people who were losing their ability to play the game for fun and it seemed sad to me.

Don't get me wrong, I like winning as much as the next guy and I do not go in and donk it up just to donk it up. I go in trying to play well and come out ahead. But I really enjoy, enjoying the game more and not worrying if I end up with a losing session. But then again, I do not do it for a living or really expecting to make any real money either.

I am at the point now where I can have as much, if not more, fun playing .25/.50 limit with friends at home as I have playing 3/6 at a casino/cardroom.

Had one of those last july. Even bustod my stars account. Take some time to cool off and assess what went wrong.
Look at your past results for encouragement.

Yep it becomes a boring grind for most of us.

When you then just can`t hit a good streak and things go slow, your $/hour no longer seems to be worth it, and you can look back at the last 5 sessions, without having won a single allin. Hard work for every nickel you pick up, and all the big pots will go somewhere else.

Poker sucks imo.

Oh hey Lounge. I haven't played poker in a casino since my trips to Vegas and I haven't played online since like...14 months ago.

Anyway, I went to the boats round these parts to play 3/6 and after 3.5 hours I finished up $22.50. Holla.

That is all. I thought you'd all want to know about my big score.

And yes, Fish, I had a pretty good time. Until we left the poker room, as the graph shows. But even then, it was fun listening to some Asian guy who every single hand just kept yelling PAI GOWWWWW PAIGOWWWWW!

I look forward to playing again--poker, not paigow. Haha.

Hey. Is there a site that you guys simply cannot win at. I look like the biggest fish in the world on FTP. It never fails. Every time I deposit there, I go on a break-neck, unsustainable down-swing. I look like the biggest donator there. I hate playing at Poker Stars, but I am too superstitious to put all my money on Tilt.
