I agree. This is a great idea.

I hear that they are easy to monetize, which is good since we seem to be in the midst of an economic collapse. You can master making them, have one go viral, then, as a trained educator, teach us to make them.

This will save me from getting a job as a walmart greeter, which I don't think is a good idea for me given the current pandemic, my age, and some of the people I see in walmart.

ps btw, no hyphen i.e. tiktok

Portland, OR is a great city to visit which I have done multiple times in the past 4 years. A wonderful brew pub scene is a bonus. Would not live there - especially now because of explosive growth over the last 2-3 years. I lived near Portland (across the Columbia) in the mid-80's; fun but the city and area were depressed during that time frame. The entire area has had large growth for most of the 2000's.

Useful update/article (read the whole article):

coronavirus-us-italy-not-overreacting

From above link:

To break away from Italy’s trajectory, we have to respond with stronger measures than Italy. We have to respond in ways that feel like an overreaction. In the past few days, we’ve seen the first US steps that are stronger than Italy’s responses at a similar point in the outbreak — steps like the Bay Area’s shelter-in-place order, the follow-up extending it to all of California, New York’s similar order Friday, and state orders shutting down restaurants and bars. That’s what it will take to give ourselves a chance at a different curve.

I would like to remind people who are panic buying that you can obtain all the energy and nutrients you require by eating mud.

Mmm .... On reflection my previous statement is obviously untrue.
03-21-2020 , 05:03 PM
its not panic buying it is buying for yourself what may not be available soon.

when something affects the masses it by reason means everyone has to look out for themselves. it may not seem right.

on the corona tip, I gassed-up the van at QuikTrip earlier.

One employee was out pressure washing a high-traffic walkway, the entire gas-pump machine smelled sanitized, and myself and the other motorists in proximity(socially-distanced) used rubber gloves or paper towels to handle the pump.

Heal the world, God.

wasnt there something about him helping those that help themselves.

and darwin and survival of the fittest.

those two sayings will be the ones who prosper through this and onward.

I just got my census form in the mail.

I'm not too sure if it's too early to fill it out and mail it back.

To alleviate the current worry and boredom I have started to ask female friends when brassieres first started to get on their tits. Luckily I enjoy being violently slapped across the face.

I don’t know how the accuracy of my body clock compares to others , but I woke up in the night and thought “3:32 eh?” I switched my phone on and discovered that it was actually 3:34 I felt disappointed with myself

Are you Jack Reacher?

I'm pretty accurate, too.

I am too. If I think it's 3:32, it's either 3:32 or 9:40, but never 3:34.

In they future they should test a source for this trait. I'm convinced some aspect is from watching the clock on a computer monitor without realizing it.

When I was a kid I suspected that I was sleeping with my eyes open and seeing my clock without realizing it. I suppose I could of set my clock wrong and observed whether I thought it was the correct time, or the misadjusted time, but I didn't think of doing it.

I don't know what goes down now. I suppose a smartphone could light up with an alert and I see the time on it, but I don't keep a clock in the bedroom.

Betting on the passage of time seems like it would be fun. I'm dialed in to a particular obnoxiously brief traffic light (15-seconds of Green late at night), not sure how far I could take it.

its called coincidence as you remember the times it happened but forget the many times it doesnt.

at the poker table sometimes a bad beat or an unusual thing like 4 of a kind twice comes on the flop someone asks what is the chances of that happening. my reply is 100%.
never had one person understand that comment. thats why i can win at poker.

Don’t think the first part of this is true. When I was working in St Petersburg I was woken by an alarm going off at 4:38. Every day for the next two weeks I briefly awoke at exactly that time.In reference to the second part of your post if Four of a Kind were dealt 14 times in a row would you conclude
A: Variance eh?
Or
B: The deck is rigged.
03-23-2020 , 12:21 AM
first part is you conditioned your body to wake up at a certain time. that works. just like to tend to get hungry at dinner time.
im talking, if not clear, where you wake up at a time and that time popped into your head before you looked at the clock.

your second part has nothing to do with what i was talking about. of course anything that defies probabilities increases it's chances of not being random each time it happens.
do you understand where my 100% comes from

i used to practice staying underwater as a kid. we didnt have or i didnt have a water proof watch. so i just sang a jingle in my mind that was like 20 seconds or so and used that.

also the old' one, one thousand, two, one thousand etc. way of counting seconds works once you get it down. i used that for timing my swimming for racing.

I understand where the 100% comes from.
