And gin and tonics on a hot Summer's day after a round of golf.

So I gave my cats some catnip-infused toys, but I thought, why should they have all the fun, so I took an edible, and now all three of us are having an 80s MTV music video dance party.

Fun times in quarantine! That wouldn't work for me though as I have discovered edibles and me don't mix well About a month before the lockdown I was driving by the weed store and there was no line so I figured why not? Now I had never done edibles and never really smoked the stuff much and the last time I did that was probably early 80's.

So I buy a little 10 pack of gumdrops (10mg each). I eat one.
1 hour in: nothing
2 hours in: nothing
2:15 in: a slight tingly feeling but nothing special I figure this stuff is a ripoff
2:20 in: KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!

This stuff hits me like piano falling from 10 stories up. I am totally fubar. Feeling dizzy and nauseous. All I want to do is lay down and I immediately become extremely tired. This was not fun! All I wanted it to do was wear off but it lasted and lasted. I did sleep well that night though

A couple weeks after that I tried another one with the exact same results and as soon as it kicked in I just went to bed. I have no inclination to ever take one again. I much prefer booze

People want to see this stuff! I'd like to tune in to John's lectures too. I am starved for entertainment

Last night, I drove to my daughter's house for an outside dinner next to the fire pit. We ordered from a nearby restaurant and drank peanut butter martinis. It was wonderful. She texted me to say, "It's Tuesday. Come for dinner."

I replied, "I would love to, dear daughter, but it's Wednesday."

I always thought Kiss tried a little too hard.

So we all should try a little too hard to enjoy our weekend. Bottoms up! And that means more than just one thing, Loungers.

Finally! A perfect spring day. The weather here has been just awful since last fall. I took a nice 7 mile hike through the forest preserves and then laid out on my deck for a couple of hours reading and listening to music. The combined cabin fever of lousy weather and shutdown has been depressing. Tomorrows supposed to be nice again but then next week will be cold again. I can't wait for the weather to turn for good.

Beautiful here in Massachusetts, too. I'm correcting papers, though, but I need to get out. I'm afraid my favorite walking spot will be overrun. But this is welcome after a month of rain and cold.

And our governor has ordered face masks be worn for all outdoor activities starting May 6. Let's see how that goes.

I'm not convinced ice cream sellers are a necessity. I mean I would have loved to have stopped but not with 150 people waiting.

uh, i got all i want of ice cream at the store when i went for my groceries at a time when fewer were there with my mask on and an extended arm at anyone getting close to me..
so far except for t.p. and paper towels which and now meat are scarce because the tv had to show that it was scarce, so all the idiots went out and bought it all out as fast as it could get stocked.
all the stores if they really cared about their customers had to do is make a one package per customer and all would be fine.
what family cant last a month or more on an 8 pack of t.p.
but that happens every disaster. so anyone that doesnt have a supply of so called necessities that dont perish deserve to have a shortage.

Now we know where she gets her act from.
