1981 was one of the coldest winters on record. I was living in Abingdon at the time.
I was in the pub having a pint & having to listen to the birdie song being played on the jukebox.
A middle aged guy I knew asked me if I would like to spend some time with him in his “Batchelor pad”. I refused the offer. Looking back I realised that I had missed out on an experience that I would have regretted for the rest of my life

Whiskey? Nah, I hate that stuff. But I did go to the liquor store today to stock up on vodka, gin and beer. You can keep your vile whiskey.

These days, police aren't even stopping cars for speeding. I doubt they will care about drinking in the park.

The British comedy drama “Doc Martin “ isn’t great brain fodder but the scenery is beautiful and it passes the time. One of the best parts is the character Morwenna, she is absolutely adorable. When I was working in Cornwall one of the waitresses outdid Morwenna in absolute adorabilty by at least 50%.Furthermore the barmaid at the local pub was at least level with Morwenna in terms of absolute adorabilty.

ive watched every doc martin produced. got real sad when he stopped and happy when he said he would do one more series and then quit.

i watched most on npr but had to find the dvd,s for the others at a library. you know one of those places that the homeless live in the daytime that have rows of books.

Doc Martin was filmed in Port Isaac. The roads there are not really suitable for motor vehicles. I once drove 15 miles out of my way just to avoid driving back through the village

Thursday, our dispatcher at work discovered a cluster of jobs just east of KC, really rural area. He sent me out that direction. One was at Whiteman Airforce Base, where for strategic reasons, I guess, the Stealth Bombers are housed.

Another was out in the sticks, and the last road was pitted and pocketed like that. No good.

tour of the west. they hit some of my stomping grounds. portland is a cool city for young people with a big music scene. great food and things to do. way too liberal and zeno would have things to say about it im sure.
if you are a city person thats as good as any. if you like to eat out it cant be beat for great meals at moderate prices.
