Got my property tax bill today. Actually down a small amount, ~$40. Not enough to notice, but that's nice.

I think that some mill levy expired or was lessened or some such.

most of mine isnt deductible anymore. so in effect i pay tax on a tax.

I don't actually own the places I live in or have much personal income and am currently a burden on my own family. I do (genuinely) feel bad about this. I have never done my own tax returns.

Anyway no one likes my actual personality which causes me to be quite anxious and depressed. The more fake I am the more genuine people think I am. In fact, I should make it a habit to just say whatever is the fakest most insincere thing I can possibly think of so that peolke think i'm down to earth and genuine. Not that I'm bothered by this because i'm not in my teens anymore.

so no go for me.

italy is good though. u.s can be bad but actually california wines are good.

all wines have some just like most all foods.

thats why i buy organic if at all possible.

some think its bogus and bad health comes from god or accident but not me.
there are plenty of places in spain and portugal that use organic practices to grow their grapes, you just have to do a little research. i visited a few of them in Rioja several years ago. as for the best port, doesn't it come from the city it's named after?

The house in which I have an apartment just sold for 15 million. Apparently the new owners who live in Chicago don't plan on doing anything for a year or more.

I'm going to miss the view when I do have to move. Fortunately, no rent increase.

I miss the view from my avatar. It's nice living with a good view.

Red makes a good point on organic practices etc., for many wines; they have become much more prominent in many places throughout Europe and the USA.

Not nearly at 50 years, but agree with Ray. It is nice to have ~ $300/month in housing costs, but it's kinda hard to get there.

it just takes time

time heals all wounds.

buy your house. then you make all the decisions. then buy the house next door then you get to choose your neighbors and have control over what they can do.
now you can deduct so many things related to a rental from taxes legally. income goes up and taxes are cut.

i bought my first house with no qualifying just a down payment and assumed the previous loan. kept it about ten years and doubled my money and had it paid off. took that money and built another cabin for myself and a few rental houses. went up from there.
no brains needed just a little balls.

In 2012, Bynes was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in West Hollywood.[57] Two years later, the charge was dropped and she received a three-year probation.[58] In May 2013, Bynes was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession after she was found smoking in the lobby of her Manhattan apartment building.[59] When officers entered her 36th-floor apartment, she allegedly threw a bong out the window.[59] A New York County judge dismissed the case against her in June 2014.[59]

In July 2013, Ventura County sheriff's deputies detained her after she allegedly started a small fire in the driveway of a stranger in Thousand Oaks. She was hospitalized under a 72-hour mental-health evaluation hold.[60] Bynes's parents filed for conservatorship of their daughter shortly after her hospitalization began.[61] In August, Bynes' mother was granted a temporary conservatorship over Bynes's affairs.[62]

In October 2014, Bynes accused her father of emotional and sexual abuse in a series of tweets; after her parents protested and claimed innocence, Bynes tweeted that her father had never abused her adding: "The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me".[63][64] Days later Bynes' mother again received conservatorship of Amanda Bynes.[65] Soon afterward Bynes announced that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.[66] In August 2018, paperwork was filed to continue said conservatorship until August 2020.[67][68]
This is a quote about amanda bynes from wikipedia. I am quoting it because her behavior is similar to my behavior. At the peak of Amanda Bynes career she was an A list hollywood star who lost everything and became a nail technician for awhile.

But I am completely free. I am mostly concerned about my sisters wedding atm, which I am assisting in. I kind of thought i'd be dead by now or something and had a lot of fees to pay. When it comes to ownership of stuff, I might buy a first home sometime soon but really after working with a therapist about my addictions and why I do the things I do, I am looking to stay very grounded( which is hard for me, I often get in over my head) and ideally be in a real relationship and get married. Like ideally I would get a guy who would make the hard financial decisions for me. shrugs.

I live a lifestyle you would typically need to make at *least* 300k to live and I have no degree or recognizable career.

At one point I was basically homeless which meant I went around to my relatives and friends various homes for awhile. I often babysit a guest house and I have a 12 month lease that my cousin co signed so I would have my own place. I know the feeling.

you need to find a lifestyle that you can be happy at and also sustain.

not some fictitious one or a dream way of living that will only crash around you. that will only lead to destroying yourself. and not worth it at all.

its time to grasp the straw that you can drink out of not the one out of reach. good luck with your journey. friend.

Bryce,

As always, Ray offers good advice. I wish I could offer the same, but I don't know you well enough. I could only tell you what works for me. Perhaps sometime I will. Best of luck.

Amanda Bynes was never an A-list star. C at the most. She starred in a kids show and a couple movies.

Well I would enjoy hearing about you and your perspective. What does work for you?
What I can say is that my situation is actually very pleasant now and if it sounds unpleasant that is because of my disorders and the fact that last couple years I did some stupid stuff. I don't need to do anything
and will have my needs taken care of by my family.I actually stand to inherit a good deal of money as well but have never brought that up before because it's not something I think about. But it is disappointing to discover that my mental health issues made it impossible for me to achieve my ideal dreams. I am basically retired in my 30's. My main day to day goal is to not do anything problematic, which I've been doing a great job at. As for goals or what am I going to do with my free time it's important to stay grounded but my stated desire at this point and to have something to do is to have a long term relationship and to study design.

She was a rising star at a certain time and place. First off I'm the same age as Amanda and remember watching all that and thinking she was hilarious. For those who don't know what all that was, it was a show with a late time slot on nickelodeon and was like saturday night live, except everything( the editing , the actors and actresses, jokes, visual direction, and sense of humor) were for people aged 9-13. A number of the people on that show actually joined the cast of snl when they grew up. I watched some old clips of all that on youtube. The humor didn't age as well as I hoped but of course i'm not a 9 year old anymore. She was a serious actress with lead roles in good movies, and a rising one but disappeared at her peak due to personal issues. In 2005-2006 for a brief time period she was an it girl that people like me grew up with.

Ray I might write more about this later but I will just say that I have a different perspective and in short:

I am indeed from texas and like a number of rugged looking people, my own dad just by conventional attractiveness is not an attractive guy although his skin is less blotchy and red than lee marvin and he often wears a lab coat or a suit. and I talk to him all the time and love him more than any poster on here. I grew up late 90's early 2000's which is where my musical taste comes from

More importantly- It's a lot easier to walk around like that if you're a real man and not a spaceman.
