Last time I owned boots was when I was a kid. They were moon boots, built for tromping in the snow. Somehow they were rebranded as Uggs or something, and thus the moon boot, legging, and mini skirt came to fashion.

I think that, when I turned 10, I only wore shoes from that time forward. Since I walked everywhere, it may be a bit surprising I still have all my toes.

I wore mainly Acme's until the mid 80's. Since then I've worn factory-made Lucchese's, although I have one handmade pair from the late 60's.

ProTip: Never say "boots," say "manly footwear."

mack i have an old pair of luccheses myself. iguana. bought them around 1970ish. still in the closet and used maybe just a bunch of times. they wouldnt fit anyway now as my feet are two sizes larger for some reason. they were expensive then. handmade as yours.

when i go the rummage sale will be incredible for sure.

Honestly, who would you least suspect to wear manly footwear?

uh you and bryce.

This sounds really horrible now, but many many years ago I bought elephant hide boots. Best pair of shoes I've ever owned. They've been resoled at least 5 times. My feet have grown as I've gotten older so they don't fit anymore. They still look brand new.

Thinking about making anything out of elephant kinda makes me ill now. Times have changed.

Dave,

Any response? When you make someone a nice offer, an answer is usually appreciated, whether you like the answer or not.

John, I know my real life acquaintances all too well.

I'll refrain from sending off an angsty text. She's has enough conscience to know that's "flakey."

I've been meeting other people lately, and I'm pretty well over the situation.

You sent one invitation. That's enough.

It appears that 1 invitation was too many. This is why I dropped her in the first place.

It's the weekend Loungers:

It is the weekend without a thing to do, except feed and give pills to my brother's dogs. And tomorrow going to second brother's house for the week to feed his dog and cat while my two brothers spend their weeks at the beach.

I remember my friends and I going to see John Lee Hooker and B.B. King at Brown when we were in high school.

There is always lots to do: music, movies, reading, writing, walking, BBQ a good steak, annoy the neighbors, listen to AliG, visit the Richard Nixon library, spray paint Taoist poetry on abandon buildings, nail beef tongues to the Town Hall doors………..well, the list is just endless.

I have visited the Nixon Library. Last year. The dogs just sleep all day.

Presidential libraries I've visited so far:
Truman 1968
LBJ 1986
George Bush the Elder 1999 (located on the campus of my alma mater, Texas A&M University)

Still need to see Nixon's! I have a brother who lives out there too, could theoretically visit him as well. Haven't been to California since the mid-90s.

Ali G and Cohen's other comic stylings disgust me, no thanks.

I think you're misunderstanding the main point of the day

What's the second mishap? Is it that the colors are in the wrong order?
