On the El Diablo character who was discussed earlier, I really can't stand that joker and the way his sycophants kiss his ass. To me he represents the very worst of OOT. His slimy disingenuous posts make me nauseous.

Where does he post primarily, OOT? I haven't read his posts in well over a year. I do recall that when he wants to make fun of someone he really goes to town.

When El Diablo is being nice, he is very fun to read. But when he is being mean it's uncomfortable for me. He tries to catch certain posters in inconsistencies or lies by weaving a web. And everyone gets great pleasure out of watching it unfold. However, with his friends he is very fun. The one or two times when he paid any attention to me it was like warm and friendly. And that is very intoxicating! He is a master at reading people and manipulating them. What do you make of internet sycophants? Weird phenomenon yeah? I bordered on sycophancy myself, only with bison. Love me some bison.

Sorry Katy, but Blarg made his own bed by being incredibly combative at times. Do I wish he was still posting here? Of course. I liked him most of the time. But he was obstinate to the point of being pathological at times. And if he refuses to post here out of spite, he's only cutting his own nose off. Not ours. In fact, I'd go so far and call it cowardice.

Not sure I follow you, Dom. In what way is he a coward? I think I recall him being combative with Hobby and a few others, but not so much with you or me or diebitter. Didn't he get into it a few times with Hobby? Lol! We could use more of that in the Lounge. If my memory serves me, I think he mellowed a lot the last year that he posted in the Lounge. I do agree with you that he could be obstinate. Sometimes Blarg and I went round in circles, but I really enjoyed seeing him in the Lounge and loved reading his posts. Remember how he liked to gross us out by describing fat women eating fried chicken? hahaha...that blarg!

I'm not really up on all the non-Lounge drama, but didn't he have issues with a lot of folks over there? Isn't that jackass who called him misogynist still hanging out there? I just can't see Blarg being that clandestine. Like Dom said, he was too combative. And too stylistically noticeable.

I remember he was having family issues, and it was affecting his job, as he worked with the family member in question. I figured he just bugged out and started over, especially after all the name-calling started. I wasn't around much when it happened, but f*ck those people, anyway.

Never understood the gimmick account thing. Always seemed to be one of those borderline creepy things. And cowardly, like Dom said. I don't recall Blarg ever backing down from a verbal fracas. But it must have gotten old after a while, every pissant bro trying to take their shots at him.

Reading this thread was interesting. I had forgotten how much fun kioshk could be; even his tendency to viciously snap was entertaining. Also, Hobby. Bit of a drama queen, but I always liked her. Ah, well, back to the present...

I can see that. I liked him. He was always shooting off at the wrong time, the wrong way. But he always seemed to be a big-mouthed, confused, but well-meaning kid. He seemed to have a good heart, deep down.

He wasn't a bad guy. He PM'd me a few times, and he was a lot more personal, a lot less grandstanding. He was obviously trying to find his niche, to fit in, and he came off boorish. Then he got caught up in trying to defend himself, and by that time, the pile-on effect had begun.

I didn't know you had such strong feelings about him. You're a genuinely fair person, so I don't question your misgivings about him. But I think you would have grown to like him.
