Straws should be compulsory.

I agree. Straws just aren't manly.

With Ray and John on no straws. I have some of those metal reusable straws. Of course, they either a) sit in the kitchen drawer, forgotten or b) get left at the restaurant on the rare case I remember to bring one.

Manly men need manly straws to keep their manly smoothies out of their manly beards and mustaches. Other than that, useless except for the occasional hygienic purpose.

only good use was when kids we shot split peas out of them at others in school.

I've never used a straw in my life.

God uses a straw to keep the muck out of His beard. He uses the straws that are bendable because He drinks while working, for example on the next extinction event on some barbarous planet located in some remote region of the multi-verse.

But I agree, straws should be banned. I could then make a killing selling them on the black-market.

We used paper straws all the time in my grade school at lunch. For sucking milk out of those small pint cartons.

Do Limeys use straws? Or are they too sophisticated to indulge in such common and uncouth behavior?

I would love to see an East-Ender use a straw to suck down a pint of bitters.

Ray and John don't need straws 'cause they roll $100 bills instead

I have a friend who uses a straw for hot coffee.

I don't understand how Rick does this.

Marvin C. Stone was awesome.

Quote:
Stone used the newfound wealth from his straw business for a variety of philanthropic causes. He furnished lodging for his female employees, including a large library, music room, meeting room, and dancing floor. In addition, he and several others built two blocks of tenement houses for African American residents of Washington, D.C.

I went to Burger King and had a milkshake. They gave me on of those paper straws.

The straw tasted like it was sitting in dog crap, and then the paper wilted, making the straw unusable. I went to the counter and got a plastic fork.

because they use less plastic than a fork and spoon, I'm guessing?

BK probably did give me a spork. Why wouldn't I want to have a stabby feeling while I eat what I'm supposed to be able to drink?

Yes, let's be honest, it's nearly impossible to mess up a milkshake... Burger King managed to do so.

This is the kind of low content we come here for.

It's snowing in RI, and I'm working from home. Day started at 7:00 with responding to emails, followed by a call with one of my chairs who was calling from Iceland.
