I'm sure all this is scattered throughout this thread but it would be great if people would post some must try pizza, burger, sandwich, etc places.

Ricky's at #2, nice! And I've wanted to hit Guisados ever since J Gold reviewed it. Looks badass.

Good link. Although those lists are published once a week by some blog or another.

Yes, it is. I just mean that the best taco list is like the favorite list to make of every LA food writer.

I went to Harvard and Stone recently. Does that count?

Also, I went with some buddies to a SEAFOOD Korean BBQ place the other night called Jae Bue Do. On Western btwn Melrose and Beverly. Really good. Clams, oysters, eel, shrimp, abalone, scallops, etc, etc all cooked at your table over a charcoal grill. Highly recommend.

Yeah of course, I might have been there that night. What'd you think? I love that place.

I liked it. I've been a couple times and it was much better on a thurs night than on a weekend night. On the weekend it was just too crowded and there was some terrible band playing. On Thurs it was a good amount of people without being annoyingly crowded and loud.

Tomato pie in silverlake off of Hyperion for pizza. Umami for burgers. Langers sandwich. Crustacean for overpriced garlic noodles. Boiling crab in Alhambra for crush food fest.

Has anyone had Plan Check on Sawtelle? I live in Brentwood and my roommates swear by it but I haven't checked it out yet.

Two Boots in the better Silver Lake pizza imo.

Also, Silver Lake is two words. Not to nit, but you now, this is the LA thread.

Yeah I'm sure Larry David is sitting around going, "We have this great show with talented actors but unfortunately we have no ideas! If only someone out there could tell us what to do, we'd really appreciate it!"

I think the highest potential your story could achieve would be to just post it here so the 8 people who read this thread can enjoy. So, that's how you should proceed.

HAHAHHA PJ c'mon I'm not that Kevin guy w a the best poker script. this actually happened to me IRL on a transpacific flight. so I was sitting in exit row on my way back to America. I got hooked up and halfway in I fell asleep. while I was asleep I started feeling something under my leg. I didn't bother looking at it i just moved around. but then a min later it moved again. I opened my eyes and I see a mother effer lying down in the space on the exit aisle row w a pillow and blanket next to my feet. I started kicking him but he didn't even acknowledge me and I was lim WTF IS THIS ****.jpg and called a flight attendant over. the guy didn't speak a lick of English and the personnel had to drag him off in force along w his pillow and blanket. the end

it's not a great story but just something funny that can set up an adventure. *shrug*

Hi,

me and two friends are staying in west hollywood for 3 days at the start of July. Would appreciate recommendations for a nice foodie restaurant, preferably in the area with some of these criteria:
- Top end of price range: $250-$300 per person all-in-all
- Type: very creative (molecular e.g.), something inspired by local food or fancy mexican/latino
