Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking it at all. I'm considering picking one up, but the rubber turns me off, so I'm thinking about this one:

with the steel case & band.

But why do they get so much love?

If unused I'm sure you could get somewhere between 1500 & 2k US.

Put it up on some watch forum.

Then good luck with that. It looks like some crap out of a crackerjack box, regardless of the internals or brand.

I would say u must not have a lot of real life experience outside parents home/basement. If u judge something purely by looks, u will make a lot of poor decisions in life.

They're cheap (usually), total tank beaters, full of techy lil options, and once you get into it, they have a beautiful nerd goony kind of look to them.

Hey, to each their own. If you like that styling, have at it. I'm just saying that in general, most people aren't going to.

And in the land of watches the appearance just as important as the internals.

Yea they really wear big. Turtle wears one for most of the last season of Entourage and everytime I saw it it just looked huge, and dude doesn't have small wrists. They do have some 40mm models, but they're a little simpler than the 44s.

Few years ago I really wanted an active/water watch that had tide and moon phase functions, other than surf watches only thing I found was the Corum Tide, but the cleaner looking one is 48mm, no dice.

That article a little up about ETA cutting off some buyers said Corum made their own movements, when that happen?

That's pretty much it. Plus they have atomic sync, which appeals to my OCD site. I'd never buy a non-atomic G.

Yeah I have pretty big wrists because I have a pretty large frame, and the 44 looked HUGE on me. I think Negreanu is sponsored by them, how he wears a 48 without tipping over is beyond me.....

thoughts on which digital(s) to go with? purpose is everyday use- everything from gym to dinners and such. looking to get 1 or 2. already got a white one that i'm going to return cause it looked awful on me.

1: probably my favorite
2: currently own and pretty meh
3: little different, not sure about it
4: probably a little too wild

I like option #3 chisness. I've actually been looking at that one and #1 also. I have a nike digital for running and it has the reverse lcd. Looks very solid imo.

I will never understand why watch companies put half numbers on the faces. They just ruined an otherwise near perfect looking watch.
