It's a combination of factors. All around, I think it fits my criteria the best. Mostly I hang around cavemen who don't know a nice watch if it hit them in the face, but, I really don't either. I can't get the appreciation for something that is obscure but something educated watch buyers would like. The mass majority of people wouldn't. I know some high end brands like Rolex, Cartier, Patek Phillipe, IWC, Tag, Breightling, but after that it just drops off tremendously. And even then, I couldn't tell you the difference between a 10k Patek Phillipe and a 250k one.
A little recognition, a watch that I can wear in almost any situation, a watch that I think is pleasing to the eye, a 40th birthday gift, something that experts won't turn their nose up at and something that noobs can appreciate... I think that watch fits into all of those criteria very nicely.
But, I am open to other suggestions.
