I love the big bang, will pick one up at some point if I find one for a decent price.

That movement is ETA not inhouse btw.

then take the $360 you saved and get a used mechanical dress watch.
What are your thoughts on the sndc99 watch v. this Tissot V8?

What are the differences driving the price difference between the two other than the crystal and the brand name? Think the Tissot is worth the little extra? TIA.

Hublot is starting to develop in house movements but they don't have one in any BBs yet that I'm aware of.

The "uh" in the name should be the tip-off.

Case material is pretty cool... I think in-house movement? Price tag still questionable, but looks sharp. Not a gold fan typically this is kind of like gold meets bronze with this 'cermet' material. Supposedly scratch-proof.

I like gold and i like bronze and kind of like hublots but i hate this combination.

Its neither elegant nor rugged. Looks cheap. Maybe a bad picture.

I have had this watch for about 4 years now and have really enjoyed it. It was my first nice" watch. No problems with it what so ever. Keeps great but not perfect time as I correct it about every 3-4 months. I am not the type to get upset over it being off a minute or two though. Solid watch IMO.

Okay, just gonna throw it out there; what's the cheapest way to get an Omega Seamaster - the newer editions.

Cheapest would be to buy used on WUS or TZ.

Even the new models are very frequently flipped. Are you looking for like an 8500 Planet Ocean? Or the ceramic bond?

Ya, the 8500 Planet Ocean in black is exactly what I'm looking for.

I've seen a few basically unworn 8500 pieces flip on WUS for $4200-4500. If you want to get it new from an AD you'll probably have to ask in the WUS omega forum for a dealer recommendation. They're not allowed to post dealer names publicly due to sponsorship issues but people will PM you. There are a couple of dealers who will ship over the internet to anyone with basically no-haggle max discounts for WUS members.

The WUS Omega forum's sponsored online AD no longer ships Omegas to the USA, fwiw. Not sure about Canada.

Right, but there is another dealer in the US that is considered the "Favorite" AD but since he doesn't sponsor you can't talk about him publicly. Just post a "who is the US FAD?" Thread and people will pm you.

Who is it?

I ordered from the WUS sponsor forum several months ago and I felt like I got a good deal. If indeed they don't ship to the USA anymore, I guess catching them at a time when they were shipping to the USA was running good.

I don't know who It is or I'd just tell you. I only buy used watches.

Any opinions on Ulysses Nardin marine series? Looking in the 5K-7K range. Really like these 2: First one is 6K, second one is 7K.

I've spoken to friends/relatives and some recommend to just get a rolex for that money because it has name recognition/whereas UN may be unknown. But I feel rolex is more suited for 30+, maybe not the best fit for me(mid 20s)

I don't like either of those tbh. The Roman numerals on the first and the red markings on the second.

Plenty of great watches for 5-7k, make sure you get something you really love.

I'd personally just get a sub if I was to have one watch of that value but I know they arent for everyone.

agree, just go with a sub at that price point

If you haven't got an opinion, find a lower price point, or buy a wannabe Cartier kind of piece that your bros are gonna bang at.

To all you watch people: I won a brand new Hublot Big Bang king (black edition) through some promotion on my pokersite. It has never been worn and comes with the proper paperwork etc. If anyone is interested in making an offer, feel free to PM. Here is a link to the exact model: http://www.hublot.com/en_US/watch/bi.../black-magic-1

Also, I looked up the first post to see if this kind of post was illegal, and I believe it's not. If it's mistaken, please remove my post.

Kind regards,
Joris
