The SKX007 is a great watch but I also love the Mako. The Mako on bracelet is a bit more versatile for me so I went with that one.
The Seiko will have slightly better case finishing and a nicer bezel (120 clicks vs 60 clicks on the mako). Its up to you whether its worth the extra 70.
Thanks guys. I'm going to order the Mako for $98 and see how it looks and feels on my wrist. Watches never seem to look in person the same as they look in photos. If I don't love it I'll return it and get the skx007. Though I have a feeling I'll end up owning both watches in a matter of time.
This is pretty obvious in the real world, and I find myself doing the same thing. It's silly when you think about it, but almost everyone does it.
I'd bet the general public doesn't know many of the high end watches in this thread, but almost all of them know Rolex, and if they see one it changes the way they view you. For better or for worse.
ARGHHHHH! Halios has the Laguna for sale again, but only in the black/orange bezel. And I waited so patiently, too.
Does that mean they'll not be selling the black or grey bezel any time soon? I don't like the black/orange look and would hang on. I'm still very happy with my Laguna FWIW.
So close to buying this 62 oysterdate, never wanted a rolex before, what do we think? It's a bit pricey for what it is and obviously refinished, also really wanted to get an auto next grrr.

It is really, really, awesome and appears to be in great shape for its age. I'll be jealous if you go for it =P.
Yeah it has something about it, not common either but the guy is looking for $2300 which is a bit ridiculous, I have a similar vintage Lecoultre which I'm worried will be stuck in a drawer if I get it also. If my ridiculous heater continues I'll probably go for it!

I just locked down a white faced IWC Aquatimer 2000 so I may pause for a bit. I'm flaking on my two low budget buys of late the Debaufre Csar PVD and Steinhart Triton 30 ATM, may try to move those little guys before I buy my next. Nothing wrong with them really, just the flipper bug hitting me.

Looking forward to the Aquatimer.
White aquatimer is something I'll be seriously looking at next time I "move up levels". Though the 1675 GMT Master is still stuck in my head.
