A few other ideas depending on which way you want to go.
If you're into divers, check the Seiko SBBN011 "Darth Tuna".
It's 48mm, one-piece titanium with a ceramic shroud, 1000m depth rating. around $1k. It's quartz, but it's got a very, very unique movement. Some discussion about the 7C46 here:

Something even bigger and automatic, the Citizen "autozilla" (NH6931-06E). I think these are like 55mm.
