I've ordered from them before, it's legit. I did have one issue with them once where the watch I ordered was out of stock (actually, it was that Longines chrono that starchyy has), and by the time they contacted me to cancel the order, the price had gone up $250. Basically, they stock small quantities and the website doesn't update in real time. But the watches are real with serial numbers intact. You just get their warrantee instead of the manufacturer's, which is standard for the online shops.

BTW Tempel, that watch does come in a smaller size, I think 40mm, so have at it.

Starchyy, make sure you see that B&M in person. I was not impressed. I ended up with same Longines as you.

I ordered a Tag Carrera Auto Chronograph from them a year ago and was very satisfied. Got it at an awesome price and they were very easy to deal with.

I've read horror stories about authenticwatches not honouring warranties in their amazon feedback, so I'd say just make sure you do your research.

Yea I was considering that same Baume but my gf and I both thought it would suit someone older better (I'm 23), so seems like a really nice choice for a dad in that price range. It's 42mm though. Raymond Weil will def have 44mm and above in your price range. IWC get mentioned constantly here but have a look into them as well, they'll def have 44mm but will be more expensive. With haggling you may be able to get near your price range and they are awesome

4K AUD as well:

Finally pulled the trigger on this and went with the IWC Spitfire. It just looked so damn good the second time I tried it on and I figured I'll have this watch for a very long time so might as well go with what I want the most. Also, as others have said, its one of the only brands that looks way better in the flesh than compared to the pics of it.

Would be curious to hear about whether I could have got a better price. There's four stores in Melbourne that are ADs for IWC, two of them had it in stock and both were advertising 7k. The first place was Monards and they offered 5.3k straight up when I said I was considering buying today. Told them I'd think about it and went to the other store who said they'll match the 5.3k and throw in a pouch lol. So I'm obv like no deal and just as we're about to leave the guy says "ok ok hold on maybe we can sort something out, how much are you thinking?", I say 5k, he goes to talk with his manager and says "can I have your card". I came in trying to get at least 25% off (read in the thread thats how much AD's will take off) so I went with 5k but I felt like I could have gone a lot lower but not sure?

Anyways super happy with the purchase after thinking for over a year. Pics off my phone look horrible so will post some shots once I get hold of a decent camera.

^ Looks great.

To the dude looking to buy a watch for his dad...

Don't buy rose gold, looks dated, and tacky as ****. Silver (in color) is the way to go.

Got my G-Shock Classic today.

Awesome looking watch and feels great for going to the gym.

Funny story: I ordered the watch a couple days ago and then sat down last night to catch up on back 24 episodes. In the first 10 minutes of one of the episodes, a terrorist was timing a nuclear bomb in downtown NY. He looked down at his watch to see how much time was left... it was the exact make, model and color G-Shock I had just bought the day prior. Fox thinks I am a terrorist apparently.

Once I get my sea-gull in a month or so (I think still haven't made the final decision on which to get yet), I'm gunna post up pics of me wearing all my watches!

I'm baller lite and have brands like Casio, TAG and sea-gull, haha, but they are great looking pieces.

Hi guys, I'm not really baller looking for something in the 500 to 1000 price range. First was looking at some Movados, which I like. Other than asthetic, why do so many people piss on Movado? Is it really that much worse quality wise than say a Citizen?
Any good reccomendations? I'm looking for a dress watch and not so much of a sports watch. I don't know much about watches and this will be my first decent watch, my best up to now was/is pretty much a fossil/swatch, so I'm looking for some tips for some someone who wants to upgrade, but isn't quite ready to shell out 5000 bucks for a watch. Thank you.

Are there any watches in this thread so far the you like? Point out a few that catch your eye and I bet some posters can find similar looks in your price range.

nope, I haven't picked it up yet but I plan on it in the future.

they just had a contest where they were giving one away, they are announcing the winner soon and I'm making sure I don't win that before I buy one lol
