My family keeps asking me why I want to be an attorney. Other than citing general reasons, I am coming up with blanks. Why did you guys decide you want to practice law? What about the job turns you on? Serious answers please, I need stuff to think about before sounding like a ****** to anymore people who "care" about my future. Telling them I believe in the pursuit of justice and equality isn't going to do it anymore.

im currently taking a 24 hour take home and honestly cant even find the motivation to work on it. i just cant care about school anymore. im ready to work. i mean obv ill start it eventually but man i dont want to.

in before everyone says LULZ you'll regret this when you are working... but man i love the place i work at now, i like going there every day... ive been in school for 8 years and i am so ready to be done with this stuff. i wanna do something productive with my life. discussing the intellectual theories of scalia's dissent in VMI is something i can do over beers, not in the class.

I want to do criminal defense and this is what I tell people when they ask:

"I feel like the system is horribly imbalanced. In reality, the police, the prosecutor, and to a great extent the courts are all working together to secure convictions. I feel like all I can do morally, is use what I've learned to help shift the balance in whatever small way I can."

Also, this is honestly how I feel, not sure they buy it though.

This is what I want to know too. Corzine clearly knew that he was being served, and the process server physically touched him with the papers. At that point, I think service is made. His failure to grab the papers or pick them up off the floor would be inconsequential. Or at least that's what I'd argue if it came up.

Of course, IRL it helps that the guy trailing him picked them up and probably handed it to Corzine once they went through that door.

People with experience with this, whaddya think?

His lawyer picked it up right behind him. If that doesn't count as personal service, than you can say that his lawyer accepted service on his behalf, which is how it happens in real life anyway.

Inside info: the law firm served them publicly like this for a reason. (although that should seem obvious)

Waning bar exam information tells me that attempting to physically hand the papers to someone is effective.

I just thought it was pretty cool that he got to get up in his grill like that in Congress and he's like a massive pothead who works 2 days a week.

Just got accepted into my first choice program this is pretty awsome. Man this is going to be very different from my pharmacy degree lol.

Anyone have experiences taking exams electronically? This law school allows people to sign up and type their exams instead of writing them. This is very convenient as my handwriting is absolutely terrible.
