I hate the white cliffs of Dover and they should be Nuked out of existence. They are just heaps of worthless chalk.

And I always thought Mrs. Butterworth’s was a fat old English maid. It was terrible icky stuff from my one experience with the glop.

And since I’m tilting at windmills, that damn log cabin syrup just represents frontier expansionists/manifest destiny hoopla, and is next on the chopping block.

Up next, The English! The list against them is so long and foul that I’m not even going to start. RIP.

Ash from Alien is an underrated role imo. RIP.

Ash was never meant to be an android but the studio executives had a meeting and said "hey, wouldn't it be more exciting/interesting if the traitor was a robot?"

One of the few times the studio exec has had a good suggestion. Every other time it's "This show is tired and played out, what if their sexy cousin came to visit?"

Jim Kiick died, integral part of those early 70s Miami Dolphins. They had a Butch-Sundance thing going with him and Larry Csonka until Mercury Morris came along.

Actually, Morris was there the whole time; it's just that Shula didn't decide to feature him and make him the starting running back until the 1972 perfect season. Kiick and Csonka were rookies in 1968 and Morris arrived in 1969, but was mainly just the kickoff returner.

This has been a somber 6 weeks for me with Shula's death last month and now Kiick's. As a matter of fact, Kiick might hit closer to home given that he's less than a decade older than me. I grew up in Miami and watching these guys as my idols. The Dolphins were created in 1966 when I was 10 and I became a season ticket holder immediately. (Eleven games for $10! Ah, those were the days.)

I even met them all back in 2002 when the Dolphins hosted a special 40-year-reunion of the perfect season team during a MNF game. Still have a signed football from that night encased in plexiglass and hanging in my den. I'm still a fanboy even though the team has sucked for decades, lol.

Wasn't it Mercury Morris who said of Terry Bradshaw, "He couldn't spell 'cat' if you spotted him the C and the T"?

RIP Jim Kiick. I miss 2-man backfields where either guy might get the ball.

Deion has been famous for a long time; but not that long. He would have been about 11 years old when that insult was lodged by Henderson in the runup to SB XIII in Miami.
